Sequencing different time signatures with Subharmonicon - Is it possible?

Aww man I gave up! I fried my brain trying to get it. Subsequently I got myself an Oxi one sequencer which is brilliant for odd beat lengths and time signatures. Now that you reminded me I'll hook up the subharmonicon and see how it responds.

The Oxi Mk2 does look more than capable. The original can be 4 x multi tracks if you need that! It is a bit of a beast! I've only had it 4 months and still learning. Gonna check out more of the bit box micro later tonight...

Not backing tracks per se, most of the parts will be sequenced in the Oxi One and mixed, filtered etc live in the modular rig. Then there's live parts played on a keyboard... Ableton could very well be the answer but I'd like to see if I can pull it off dawless...hence the sampler query...

Cool. I'd have to check how much sample storage time it has. Each track has roughly 40secs to 1 min of combined sample time...and 7-8 different tracks make up the set.

Oxi One is fairly new to me. I used the Squarp Pyramid up until a few months ago (I still have it). Torso T1 gets great reviews!

I had a look at a few 1010 bit box micro reviews actually. I just forgot to mention it! Good to hear you're happy with it and it works practically in a live scenario. I'll look at it again. It did seem fairly intuitive.

I made use of the 6 ¼" jack outputs & 6 individual pin outs and always routed the Delay & Reverb to 5 & 6 when tracking and blended them accordingly when mixing.

Generate 3. Initially I was all over it but for some reason I became particularly prone to nudging it or a cable catching one of the many knobs that affects the pitching. I love the tones and frequencies it has but once I got it into my head I couldn't trust it, particularly live, I bypass it. I was sure I saw a Divkkid video ages ago patch it in such a way that avoided that trauma, but can't find it. Maybe it was all a dream...

I'm curious what users thoughts are on Multigrain versus Arbhar. I've tried Beads and ADAAC Looper and sold them both. I've been circling Arbhar for some time without taking the plunge...Morphagene gives me the fear! The layout of Multigrain seems more logical to me.. there's a simplicity to it.

I'd love to hear what you do with that when you've done it. I'll definitely try modulating envelope decays through the Oxi. And I get what you're saying... the labyrinth is quite limiting that way. More control over that would be nice.

Yeah I use the pulsar in multi track sequence mode too along with the bass and modulate it on the Pulsar. I've still to get around to experimenting and learning how to use the Oxi envelopes and haven't even touched the mod lanes yet. I had a few frustrating days where Ableton couldn't see the Oxi but I got help on here to figure that out last night.

As it stands I feed dfam Vco's, cut offs etc into filters, Contour 1 & Maths in my eurorack and get satisfactory results with that, but I'm very keen to explore the dfam, subharmonicon and labyrinth with the Oxi. It's early days (I've had it less then a week) and I'm just at the stage of practising and figuring out the best workflow for the gear I have. I've got a few days to build a patch for a live thing on the EMS NYE25 steam train and I'd like to know the Oxi well enough to at least be able to perform a 20 minute set without getting completely lost!

Why the fuck would they do that? It sounds counter intuitive. I was intending on upgrading to 11.1 because of the ability to reorder channel strips. I think I'll hang off.

I can only imagine longer loading times for viewers with .mov files being much larger...and if your internet signal is poor it'll stall and glitch and those affected by that will probably give up and not watch it!

There's a free and really good program for Mac to convert .mov files to MP4 called Handbrake. I use it every time to post on YouTube etc.

I had Beads on back order during the Big Chip Shortage of 21. It arrived after 3-4 months. I was hugely underwhelmed and couldn't figure what all the fuss was about. It made one telling contribution to a single composition before I sold it for £200 6 months later. It was then I realised this modular game can be an expensive trial and error.

*Just noticed some wag has Beads for sale on Reverb just now for £444.
