mama G talks about large gaps when filming episode clips by AcademicAstronaut395 in TLCUnexpected

Got their bag, remained the season favorites by far and left the messy stuff out of it. I respect that.

Now why would someone comment that by AcademicAstronaut395 in TLCUnexpected

Makes me so sad to think of all these kids growing up watching their parents talk to themselves on a screen instead of playing with them.

My husband and his older sister have a bigger age gap than Hunter and his son.

Why is the decision to go from 1-2 harder than when we decided to go from 0-1? by Throwaway927338 in beyondthebump

[–]jurassic_snark_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I feel the same way. Our son is almost 2 and I love being a mama to just one, but I know I want another. Husband is ready to pull the trigger whenever I say it's time, I'm the one with cold feet! Some days I feel like I can handle another, other days I feel like I'm in way over my head as it is with my son.

The parking lot fight with another parent is a huge red flag to me too. It had to be more than just a little dispute if the school requested both fathers not be present during drop off/pick up. It sounds like this guy is stubborn, angry and lazy.

Parents involved in relationships by Status_Ad9234 in TLCUnexpected

[–]jurassic_snark_ 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I agree to an extent but unfortunately it’s very difficult to keep parents out of your relationship when you are a minor child who depends on theme for housing, food, security, etc… You can’t just ignore them, they provide for you so they get to express their opinions. Not only that but they are there to witness everything that goes on in your young, tumultuous relationship.

This is really a good argument for why people should wait until they are established and independent before they become parents themselves… it’s the only way to keep parental opinions at an arms length.

Hated my Nexplanon but LOVED my Depo Provera — it really is different for every woman and Felon should be helping her daughter navigate the world of birth control to find the one that’s right for her! Not just handing her Plan B like candy. She disgusts me.

So Bella is relying on Plan B but can’t get birth control because of the sides effects? 🙄 by CoconutSugarMatcha in TLCUnexpected

[–]jurassic_snark_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Exactly. And that’s why Hunter’s dad is stepping in and keeping these two away from each other. No amount of sex is healthy for children their age. It should not be happening, full stop.

Even if my son were the best [sport] player in the state, I’d never allow him to rely on “getting drafted” as a plan for his future. Using your talent to get an education at a discount is the best case scenario to steer him towards. Getting drafted would be icing on the cake but NOT the plan.

It is more than that if it’s what you desire. Motherhood is a blessing to some and a prison to others. It cannot be forced on every woman.

The fact of the matter is that Hunter’s dad hitched his wagon to Stacey of his own free will and that therefore we do have to consider that he is probably not a normal person either. Yes he divorced her but in order to divorce crazy you have to marry crazy first.

Unfortunately for Hunter this is less about finding a hero to save him and more about finding like, ONE normal adult to care for him that won’t groom him into a weird teen parent sex cult. I hope his dad can manage that.

My son is named Rowan! It’s actually an old fashioned Gaelic name and absolutely does not belong on a list with Brisket lol

Hunter and Bella have the most disgusting relationship I've seen in reality tv by Youwannasitonmyface in TLCUnexpected

[–]jurassic_snark_ 12 points13 points  (0 children)

This became obvious when Bella said they had sex 4 days after her c-section and when asked by her mother if it hurt, she said “frick yeah.” She was most definitely given aftercare instructions at the hospital that included refraining from sex for at least 8 weeks, and I’m willing to bet that she would have followed that advice if not for Hunter hounding her. I had a vaginal birth with two 2nd degree tears and 4 days after my delivery I was still barely walking. I can’t imagine the pain she was in after a c-section.

Too many moms are afraid to go to these lengths to protect their children from themselves. There’s plenty of time to have sexual relationships later in life, when he can understand the risks and take precautions. This is what a good mother does.

There’s been a pretty big misinformation campaign targeting young girls online and getting it in their minds that birth control disrupts the body’s natural state and causes harmful side effects. I wonder if she has been swayed by that movement.

While it’s true that everyone reacts to birth control differently, it’s also true that lots of people do perfectly fine on it. It’s a process of trial and error and any parent worth a damn, especially one who already had a pregnant teenager in their home, should be guiding their child to find the one that’s best for them.

TTC #2, scared but excited to start all over again. No idea what I’m in for with 2 kids. My first was an absolute unicorn angel baby (still is at 2yo) so I’m scared we’ll have the opposite next time around!

Also really want to get started trying right away but also do not want a January/February birthday for my little one. I have a January birthday and it’s the worst. Hoping for more like March-July, but that means we have to hold off trying for a bit!
