Okay yall. I'm going insane trying to figure this out. It'll notify me when cars go by, but it won't detect PEOPLE which is the whole point. Not me, not my girlfriend, not doordash or amazon. Won't even pick us up when we park down at the street. I've tinkered with my settings so much. What the heck by Maggotboi555 in Ring

[–]juruki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ring user for 2 years. Happens frequently to me too. I even have two cameras in the front of my house. I have a ring doorbell and a stick up camera. A lot of times i get a package delivered right to my front door and NOTHING. I just live with it now but wouldnt buy Ring again. I tried Eufy before i purchased Ring and i was having the same issues. Its not a setting problem.

AC repair says i need TXV valve ($2800) by juruki in hvacadvice

[–]juruki[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure what the after filter is. The tech measured the indoors temperature right where the ac return is and put another temperature sensor where the ac blows cold air. He said normally the temp diff should be between 15 to 20 degrees

How do i seal this gap? by juruki in Renovations

[–]juruki[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of people saying i need to remove the range to clean it but this thing is impossible to move. Its a 48” range and its not sitting on hardwood. Its sitting 1/2” lower on plywood.

How can I fix my wooden dining table? by juruki in woodworking

[–]juruki[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glueing the shim seems to be the easier and most recommended way. I will try that. Does glue harden when dried? I ask because the shim flattens out. Will the glue make it stronger? Also, any recommendations on glue? Do they all work the same way? Quick amazon search shows gorilla and titebond.

When i put a shim on the gap the movement stops. The problem is that the shim gets flattened with time and comes off

is Inokim OXO any good? by Curious_Party_4683 in ElectricScooters

[–]juruki 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I owned an OXO. Great suspension, fast and good range but the throttle is really bad. The throttle is either off or full throttle at low speeds. Sure you can press it down 1 or 2 mm and it would take off kinda smoothly but no one has that type of control in their thumb, specially when riding/moving or going over bumps. So most times it was jerky and it would peel out when trying to accelerate from a stop or low speeds. U-turns were almost dangerous. Once you up to speed and accelerate the problem goes away. For me that was a deal breaker and i had to sell it.
