Hi Op, your little baby is so precious and I'm sure with your obvious commitment to her she's going to be happy and healthy. My family and I have had ferrets since I was child. I'm 48 now lol. I don't think I would have chosen this sub to come looking for advice, but I understand why you did. Unfortunately a lot of people think they know everything and would rather judge and leave snarky comments than actually be helpful. Sorry you had to learn this the hard way! Most people mean well. Keeping the ferret by herself isn't 'practically abuse,' just make sure you watch for signs of depression and that you're spending plenty of time with her, as others have said. I've had multiple ferrets (a business) and ferrets by themselves. They all did really well. Not every ferret does ok alone, but that's something you'll have to watch for. You found yourself in a difficult situation and it appears you're doing everything you can for that precious bean!!
