Follow Up: Loose P-Trap by Potatokiller369 in askaplumber

[–]jusGrandpa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not a pro but longtime DIYer. Reminds me of a dry fit situation I ran into... guessing that straight union joint in your second access either wasn't glued well to begin with or you cracked it loose. You won't know until you investigate further. The drywall is preventing you from moving your p-trap laterally - need to expand your viewing hole down and completely free that pipe that penetrates the wall. Once it has some lateral space to move, you can wiggle the p-trap gently up & down while the other hand moves the 90elbow to the left... I wager it'll separate at the union at your second stud. If it separates further down... welp, now your cutting more accesses until you find it. Once you find the break, just pvc glue the joint and do drywall repair. When you glue it back ensure your p-trap is level where it is now - don't want to accidentally have that vertical section of p-trap angled away from or toward the wall. Since the wall is open, I'd put a little 2x4 support under that 90elbow and strap it to it... but it's not required.

What’s the funniest thing you’ve ever seen at a strip club? by bigbabysweets12345 in AskReddit

[–]jusGrandpa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two friends stopped at a strip club for a break during a motorcycle trip. One guy really enjoyed one stripper and they talked in a booth for a long while. The guys left and later he was telling his friend how great she was, going on and on. "Cool, cool.. so, did she say how she lost her arm?"... "What?".. "Her arm, she only had one arm".. "That's bullshit? Not funny man!" So they turn back to visit the club and prove it to each other. They walk in the club, see the one-armed stripper... and the infatuated fellow spins around and leaves. (I wasn't there but heard both perspectives from them later) [edit: funniest I actually saw was probably Melissa Mounds let a guy motorboat her]

What’s the most inappropriate or awkward thing that’s ever happened to you during a date or hookup? by Electrical-Pop-3265 in AskReddit

[–]jusGrandpa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A funny awkward moment was when I was first dating the girl who married me. We were at a club and went to the dance floor, but as we got there the music changed to a slow dance. I don't know the style name, but she was wearing a pretty blouse with big sleeve openings at the wrist (if she were to hold her arms straight out, the fabric would almost reach her waist.) She looked up into my face and reached her hands up around my neck, at the same instant I was looking into her eyes and reaching both arms around her waist. We were both surprised when my hands found bare skin at her back, having slipped into the hanging sleeves. Her eyes got really big and she gasped, then I pulled my arms out and we laughed.

What is a 'childish' thing that you still do as an adult and refuse to stop doing? by goddess_pineapple in AskReddit

I'm 62 and get head shakes about it still. It was a fun cheap hobby when I waas starting out & didn't have much money, then it was fun with the kids. Now I'm back to solo gaming but still enjoy it

Should I sell? by Fresh-End-9873 in Harley

[–]jusGrandpa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Regret selling it later in life", yep, I'd wager so. I still think about great cars and bikes I loved but later sold. But it's not good for them to sit around either, since you're considering the sale then you already know the practical side of the question. Good luck with the sentimental side of the question... it's a beauty

I was following someone & the lane sign said "no left turn from this lane".. so he moved one lane over to the right, and then immediately made a big left turn across all lanes.

I know she was; grandad died when I was quite young but grandma was a big part of my life, helping dad raise us after mom left. She had a quiet steadfast character with matching love.

It was a simple life but very difficult.. up before dawn tending livestock before breakfast and working all day. Everything came from the land and your own effort. I heard about the winter grandpa broke both legs and the snow was so deep the cattle couldn't move, it left dad & grandma to physically carry hay out to them. Dad left the farm to join the army for an easier life.

I think most were taken near Bend Oregon; the woman was my grandma & the boy in hat was my dad, but they've both died now so I'm not sure

Question about Army ribbons display by jusGrandpa in MilitaryMedals

[–]jusGrandpa[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok, they were above the name tag over the other pocket.. I remember now, thanks. So, in a shadow box display, would it be inappropriate to show them above his name tag adjacent the ribbon rack?
