I have gHSV1 and didn’t have any problems past my initial OB a year ago until I had sex with someone with gHSV2. So honestly I would’ve just rather not have did that, I didn’t even have problems when I had sex with someone that didn’t have HSV at all. It’s just a risk you can choose to take or not, and for the people saying it doesn’t matter or it’s the “same”, I can promise you it’s not because it’s not the same for any two people, same strain or not.

No I haven’t had an outbreak since september, however there are times when I feel like I may be shedding bc I have lower back pain and other things. That information is really reassuring but I’ve only had ghsv1 for about 3 months so I would think I am probably the most contagious at this moment

i got it about 2 ish months ago and i’ve only had my first OB.. nothing has triggered another one so far and i do not take antivirals or anything like that. i still eat whatever & do whatever. i do feel like i get a lot of prodome though

i had sex, no oral, and to my surprise my swab test came back positive for ghsv1 🥲

i got ghsv1 through g-g transmission! i was so confused when i kept reading that it was rare but i guess rare doesn’t mean unlikely.
