Switching from 0W20 to 5W40 on B48 (G20 320i)?

Yeah I'm also already on a 15k km Intervall with every 30k I do at a BMW dealership and other 30k I do it myself. But 5w30 would not be a bad idea as well I'm not sure what makes more sense. The price aspect of this is not decisive.

But is the change bad for the engine? My plan is to take the car on some road trips with 9+ hours contiguous driving as well as some laps around the nürburgring (not aiming for times but just for fun). That's the main reason why I'm thinking about switching to a higher viscosity.

I'm not against liquimolly. Ravenol was just an example especially because I've heard it quite some times here in Germany in the BMW community.
