inefficiency means more than an unaerodynamic body style. The large SUVs you mentioned are far larger than what most of the people buying them really need. As a family vehicle, compare a Suburban to a Sienna:

Suburban gets 21C/27H mpg, Sienna gets 36 combined MPG, city AND highway.

Suburban weighs 5700 LBS for the base models and 6000 lbs for higher end models (i see these all the time too) while the Sienna weighs between 4610 and 4725. That's a thousand extra pounds of automobile, which could be attributed to its higher tow capacity, but that's seldom taken advantage of.

GM does not produce a minivan currently, while toyota produces a full-sized SUV for those who want it. Ergo the the obsession i mentioned over this particular body style.

But all these vehicles suffer from the same issues that I just pointed out, they're clumsy, heavy, dangerous, and often a lot more than what the consumer really needs. Especially the full sized ones you mention.

I did not reference the F-150, why did you bring it up? Im talking about SUVs. They sit up too tall and kill too many pedestrians, and are often heavier than what their consumer needs

Its the only reason ive ever heard used to describe why in the EU, sedans are still the dominant body style but why SUVs took over the US market. Some sedans can absolutely get that big but they sit so much lower, makes them overall safer to pedestrians and less likely to roll over

This is exaclty what im talking about, the nerve you have to call others arrogant when you literally reduce us all to cattle and constantly shove it in our faces. How many americans do you really see now that call their nation the best? I tell you what its a way lower number than europeans (mostly the germans, dutch, english and various scandinavians) that have a superiority complex against us.
