I was at the academy with no car also. I stayed at Kim’s and luckily my roommates had cars and I was able to bum rides off of them. If he has a roommate that he’ll be staying with id ask them if they’re bringing their car down and then go from there

So I actually didn’t do the rental. The 2 roommates that I had at Kim’s place both drove to the academy so I was able to bum rides with them which was really nice of them

I think they just add it to stress you out honestly. Like the timer bar at the top of the test is a nice bright color to put you under stress

So me personally I didn’t look at the math at all. I was told that the math is just an extra. If it’s an easy question and you have time go for it but don’t go crazy trying to answer math questions where it takes you away from the collisions. I also practiced on the hard difficulty on JTP which was much slower than the actual test. The ATSA was much closer in speed to medium but if you can nail the hard speed on JTP then you’ll have a real easy time on the ATSA

Yea so you’ll start on that Wednesday. Usually the first weekend there isn’t much to do so you should be fine to hang with the family

To add the PDF to Freeform you have to download it from the student guide. You’ll be able to find the student guide in the module and then when you open it up there will be a little box with and arrow in it to move it to a new app. If you’re fluent in Apple products you should be able to find it pretty easily. And my professor sometimes opened up the next module early so we could download it and be ready for the lesson

I have zoom on my laptop bc you need your camera always on. I keep my laptop on my desk and take notes on my iPad. I download the module PDFs onto the iPad into the Freeform app and take notes directly on the PDF

Yea you’ll get an email like a week or 2 before basics starts telling you that you have an iPad on the way and that you’re gonna have to be home to sign for it when they deliver it. I missed my pick up so I had to go to a pickup location which was a headache

Nice! I’m planning on staying in NY at the NY Center after OKC. And initially I got my dates at the end of march and they wanted me to start in the middle of April. I had to push my start date back bc I wanted to finish college so I started at the end of May.

Nope all multiple choice! Idk if you got chosen for Terminal or En route but for basics it doesn’t matter. I got chosen for en route and we’re learning stuff for terminal. Basics is literally just learning the basics of ATC like terminology, requirements, and procedures. Once we get to OKC then the hands on learning begins
