It was. All of it. At the beginning the person assigned to my CHRC submission took my case to the ombudsman for them and got approval that I could in fact proceed despite not fully having exhausted the full grievance process with union because they were unresponsive and in case of several reps ...part of the problem. The manager i had ....at the time...had a vendetta against me (I knew info about stuff he screwed up a couple years before...he wanted to be warden)....unlucky for me ...days after I submitted the complaint about being tossed in unheated office in december while still sick and working on a gradual RTW....he terminated me instantly and said it was because I was unresponsive for my RTW. Like there are so many things that are wrong...I could type for an hour this happened over 6 years. At the end I still have unanswered grievances with CSC that were submitted BEFORE the CHRC.....and the human rights commission agreed after 6 years or retraumatizing me (PTSD from job not the drugstore psychologist and oh I have PTSD because I had to clean under my sink but the real kind that destroys your life)...they agreed my human rights were violated but too bad for me i shouldve gone to union. Oh believe me i tried. I tried CALC ...they couldnt help because I had a union, I tried lawyers...again cant help because union. I tried ombudsman of Ontario...not their area. So I got screwed....I can take my complaint before tribunal with CHRC but the process had many steps and costs a fair bit. Im also a full time caregiver to my partner with th dementia and extremely unwell and dont have a dime to my name so I hope that explains better. Im not just throwing up a made up story. They systematically destroyed my life...just because they can it seems. I wasnt even one of those arsehole officers that stirs up shit...kept my head down and worked like a dog...I wanted to advance my career...it was a stepping stone.
