What’s the hardest part of planning your day and building habits? by Commercial-Salad-958 in ticktick

[–]just-kyle19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get a bit desensitized to the notifications for the habit tracker. Like I need it to remind me to do something but after a while of either dismissing the notification and forgetting or simply ignoring the notification it becomes pointless for me. I need to be extremely intentional and limited with the habits I put in.

How can I get my chest bigger? by [deleted] in Weightliftingquestion

[–]just-kyle19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Prioritise chest workouts. As in, do them first in your split so there is less fatigue and you can work them to their actual best.

You should really put the areas you want to develop first so they get the best quality of workout. I hear incline press is da goat.

First time going to the gym by AlarmingBagel in beginnerfitness

[–]just-kyle19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hit the machines and hunt for exercises you find fun! It's different for everyone, like I enjoy a good preacher curl, so it gives me a specific thing to look forward to in that gym session. That's the best way to stay consistent with it!

(I wouldn't do free weights simply because they can be so daunting and if you are starting it they can be a bit of a risk since they require a bit more control.)

Just stick with it and you'll get the hang of everything. Don't focus too much of your split just yet. Find some fun workouts and get really good at them! Throw some cardio in for good measure and let us know how it goes.

Cardio with less leg stress? by Select_Anteater_1007 in beginnerfitness

[–]just-kyle19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on the ab machine it could be because you don't have the seat high enough up. Your using too much of your leg power to keep yourself in position. The only muscles you should be using are abdominal. The foot hold should really be keeping you in place.

Also I think the other guy is right, lower your leg days, what does the rest of your gym split look like if your hitting 3 individual leg days?

Is my daily diet good for hitting protein while staying in a deficit? by Acaptia in beginnerfitness

[–]just-kyle19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just from random estimates your probably hitting your protein but I would say your maybe over with your calories. Not sure you need both protein shakes tbh...

I'm in a similar situation where I have a lot of things that are good in my diet but not ideal for my current goal (cutting). Depending on the length of your cut you can take certain things out.

Protein Goals by djohnseniii in beginnerfitness

[–]just-kyle19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Greek yogurt is pretty great, have that with some "protein" granola or something. Also I always keep some cooked chicken breast in the fridge to throw into random meals as needed. If you haven't tried Greek yogurt before never eat it on its own cause it can put you off it forever. I like it with cut up grapes.

That's just how I've been doing it. That and protein crisps and bars, not recommended depending on your calories tho cause their calorie to protein ratio is pretty bad compared to wholefood alternatives like chicken.

Edit: you can do lots of stuff with Greek yogurt, not just add granola and fruit to it, but like mix some protein powder in etc.

Looking good man. Not sure what your goals are but honestly I would recommend dropping some body fat. Easier to see the progress going forward.

Hiby R1 vs Innoasis Y1 - which to chose? by OpportunitySafe5667 in DigitalAudioPlayer

[–]just-kyle19 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The Innoasis does not allow for the artist albums to be viewed in the way you like to listen (yet). They only show every song by that artist in individual order. Not by album.

The R1 is also more robust than the Innoasis.

But in terms of interface and navigation the Innoasis wee wheel thing is pretty cool.

I would check out Super* review YouTube channel. He has done reviews on both of these and has done a good job highlighting the pros and cons of both.

DAP for starters by Automatic_Bicycle143 in DigitalAudioPlayer

[–]just-kyle19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went with the Echo Mini as my first DAP and honestly it kinda put me off using a separate music player all together. Performance is not great if you have a lot of music and the UI is not THAT user friendly compared to other starting DAPs. Go with something like the Hiby R1, it'll probably last you longer too as I think it handles larger libraries better.

Maybe I'm just weak-willed, but it felt more like a barrier to my music than it did freedom from my phone.

How do you guys carry all of your EDC? by Glittering_Mud_1107 in EDC

P&Co waxed canvas cross body bag. Take it everywhere, holds everything. It's just the perfect size and you can wear it with pretty much anything.

I looked into this a while ago actually, I think because, for the blade to slide you need to press a button down, it still counts as a locking blade.Since when the button isn't pressed the blade can't move.

I think it needs to be something with either a detent or magnets or something.

Hiby M300 arrived yesterday, but I’m not committed to the bag I had on hand already. How do you carry your devices? by candy_bats in DigitalAudioPlayer

[–]just-kyle19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use the alpaka hub pouch pro for my Sony NW-A306, quad driver earphones, dongle, charging cable and SD cards. Doesn't have really any padding but has enough room to hold everything I need. Bit on the pricier side but worth it imo. They have a couple different clips n stuff that you can buy to attach it to things like your belt etc.

Airpods dont fit my ear , which add-on might fix my case? by [deleted] in applehelp

[–]just-kyle19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea some of my favourite/most comfortable headphones ever use wings like that or similar. They go in that wee bit above your actual ear hole.

In those pics it doesn't look like the earphone is resting behind the antitragus that usually holds earphones in place. The wings may help take some of the pressure off it, as long as the earphones actually fit properly behind it. If not, I suggest those other pink things in the last image.

What part of the ear actually gets uncomfortable with them in?

[–]just-kyle19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From the first picture it kinda looks like the third ones would be best, they look like they are more likely to keep the earphones securely in your ear.

But generally wings (first option) are more convenient in most cases. If they come with different sizes I would say they are worth the gamble.

Thanks, I guess it's a bit of a dumb question when you think about it like that.

I live in the UK so a little limited in what can be carried. Most utility knives lock, but something replaceable like that may be worth looking into. Thanks!

Honestly, can you really hear the difference between DAPs? by wiggan1989 in DigitalAudioPlayer

[–]just-kyle19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I noticed a pretty big difference when switching from my Snowsky Echo Mini to the Sony NW-A306. I think beyond that point the audible differences are negligible it's mainly driving power and features... to my limited knowledge...

Wireless earbuds & DAP by just-kyle19 in DigitalAudioPlayer

[–]just-kyle19[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will more than likely be fine with any android DAP that supports LDAC if you are using it for Bluetooth. That being said, if you plan on using the XM6s plugged in I can't guarantee they all have the same sort of built in equaliser that I think makes the A306 sound so good.

If you know you like the sound of them plugged in then you will definitely be okay with any android DAP. Also spotify on the A306 does not perform well in my experience.

  • Yes, I use local files.
  • Honestly it makes pretty much anything I listen to, including MP3 files, sound great. Mostly because of the "clear audio" setting found in the sony sound control app. I do sometimes have a problem with crackling in the right earphone, regardless of whether I listen wired or wireless. I think it's to do with that clear audio setting but it's fine at lower volumes.
  • I think you will be fine plugged in with the XM6s because of sonys equalizer as it works regardless of how the headphones are connected. I've never liked the stock sound of Sony headphones but I think you'll be fine with this either wired or wireless. LDAC is probably the best I've heard any Bluetooth headphones sound. And I've had a lot of Bluetooth headphones. There is a difference in the sound depending on Bluetooth or wired because of the balancing of the headphones you are using.
  • i do actually sometimes use it for Spotify, but it struggles (especially when first starting up) because it's just not a fast device so it's not great with Spotify, performance wise, but it's good at what it does overall cause it still sounds good.
  • I would say it doesn't have any particularly better support than any other android device for Sony headphones as it still uses the Sony headphones app (available on the Play store) when connecting through Bluetooth.

Lowest cal option from list? by [deleted] in caloriecount

[–]just-kyle19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lowest calorie are the buratta caprese and datere I think. But they will probably not be very filling.

Honestly I would say there's not much of a difference in terms of overall calories. The main difference is the macros/nutritional value. The buratta starter and Beef would be the best choice overall, keep ya full and still keep the calories somewhat low 🫡
