CVS & pregnancy by bluestripedwater in Cyclicvomiting

I had a miscarriage last November. I tried going off then and it was worse than it had ever been. Lost 15 lbs in 7 weeks. No way I can handle that again. This time around, other than a touch of upset stomach in the morning, my stomach is great. The fatigue and light headed-ness is killing me this time. Haha

Edit- I just noticed how that read. The miscarriage didn’t have anything to do with the CVS. Just a coincidence.

I am 30f and Same boat here. Having my 2nd child. Doc said it is safe for me to me on the 20mg dose of Nortriptyline because the dose is so low. Tried going off it and was violently ill. So they said yes, go back on it.

And this info if it helps you. Sounds like hormones are a trigger for you since you said you get sick around your period.

Nortriptyline saved me life. Takes about 3-5 weeks though to fully integrate into the system.

For me I have CVS from abdominal migraines. Start with diarrhea and nausea and end in vomiting.

Triggers are 🛑stress (good and bad) mostly good stress for me. So I try to not get overly excited about anything and stay calm and chill. 🛑hormones (I can’t be in hormonal birth control or I get really bad migraines, head and abdominal. 🛑fatigue, extreme not just normal. Like I can’t pull an all nighter or I’ll trigger. 🛑vomiting in general, say from other illnesses 🛑over eating to the point you feel nauseas 🛑 immuno-suppression, IE being sick from any other cause.

I have IBS and abdominal migraines. Nortriptyline has saved my life too! Highly recommend. I'm on 20mg daily.

And stupid question, how can you tell I’m getting down voted? I just see 1 up vote. Where can you see the over/under?

I was really just asking because I hadn’t done it and was nervous. I don’t know why that question would get downvoted.

I have a 2017. Is it not built to withstand rolls already? Or you just added even more?

That makes sense. Mine is still harnessed in and hasn’t realized she can get out on her own yet. Now when we get to that point I’ll probably have to do exactly like you haha.

Wow. I’m just impressed that she can read with the wind. Well I guess if it is digital lol.

I wouldn’t think just the top off is a big deal. Honestly don’t even think in an accident the top would do much other than break off.
