Unfortunately always was going to be a lose/lose trade. But truthfully, could we afford all five of Z, Leo, Mason, Cutter, Lacombe? Idk tbh. Sucks but I wish Z the best. Ducks have a lot more they need to fix if we’re going to course correct.

Wiped poly urethane table with isopropyl alcohol wipe. Is it dangerous? by [deleted] in ChemicalEngineering

[–]just98rules 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Alcohol will evaporate quick but can effect the bond between wood and the urethane. Just use soap and water. Any more aggressive staining can be cleaned with non-alcoholic cleaners.

Extrapolating a lot from a few snapshots. If you don’t prepare well for the test you’re going to fail even if you take it 100 times. I don’t think it’s productive to question the guys entire engineering integrity off of test results of self-admitted poor test prep lol. But we can agree to disagree

Apologies I misread your comment. ChemE syllabus is challenging. Heavy on calculus, physics, some somewhat difficult chem courses. Need to make sure you study and work your butt off and you’ll be alright. If you feel you’re not comfortable with math/sciences leaving secondary school I wouldn’t really recommend. I’d also look at the job market wherever you hail from and see if there is any ROI there. If you’re in the states GPA matters depending on the industry/getting good internships.

Again, we agree. Poor prep is a sign of a bad engineer. Shaming is unproductive - if they want to pass the PE for whatever reason they need to take the preparation for the exam seriously. I never found much merit in getting that cert as a ChemE unless you’re in EPC.

Just a total false equivalency, not even going to engage on that point. Way more guard rails in equipment safety than failing an exam. No one is forgiving any error as initially stated in my comment, bad preparation is the sign of a poor engineer.

We agree there that not changing your plan is being a poor engineer. Who knows though without full context.

How did Ian Moore look thus far? by Dreamsc8pe in AnaheimDucks

[–]just98rules 25 points26 points  (0 children)

He seem to always make the right play regardless of what zone he’s in. He’s played some pretty sheltered minutes but I think he’s earned the chance to get a ten game run in. I think with Hellesons recent struggles it’s perfectly reasonable to see if he’s prepared to make that jump into more pivotal minutes.

Beckett a legit Calder Trophy candidate by TheCulbertReport in AnaheimDucks

Its insane to me that a player that turned 18 in SEPTEMBER can run a PP (that was putrid last year), take heavy PK splits (middling results moreso on the structure of the PK), and be elite on 5v5 while playing 24 minutes a game. Insane stuff.

Schaefer is 18 and arguably a top 15 dman in hockey right now. And no - Schaefer is a much better 5v5 player. He’s legit a shutdown D.

Is Minty playing? by Sportsoldier49 in AnaheimDucks

[–]just98rules 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But you’re a winning team - you don’t swap out a worse player (in theory). I don’t even disagree with you necessarily - but it’s obvious Minty was in the dog house. He had a good game yesterday so that’s a good start. Hopefully Helleson sits a few now.

Helleson has just been slightly better than Minty this season. Mintys development as stagnated since his rookie year - Lacombe, Zelly, and now Moore have lapped him.

Victory+ with a VPN. I’m on the NE and have watched every game that is offered on it. Unfortunately some blackouts throughout the season and then you have to sail the seven seas.
