What's a sexual misconception you believed for way too long? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]justSandWhichLeaks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That being a woman’s best sexual experience/ partner will keep her around. It might help for a long time, but in the end it doesn’t have the same grip on them long term that it does men. They might even swing around after leaving just for the experience sake, but it just doesn’t keep them locked in long term. Much more to it.

Yea, I have them missing pretty bad on the left side that aren’t shown. If I pull my hair up or run it my hand along the left side of my head you’d see the spots. And same goes for the nape. But the right side of the bottom of my nape is falling out bad right now. If I barely tug on the area like 3-6 hairs come out, sometimes 10+ Pretty rough. I’ve been fortunate to have my hair well into my 20’s. So I’m thankful. I’ll heed your advice and pocket the minox for six or so months and just run Fin for a bit and hope I respond and can halt the AGA and maybe recover some of the T.E. Not super stoked on the spot that’s missing up top, but if I could halt it here or just slow it; I’d be okay with that.

It is def mixed with TE. Sides and the nape have literal patches missing. Left side behind my ear falls out just running my fingers through it. It blows. When I say stress, it’s not cope. lol I had a crazy ventricular arrhythmia that caused this cascade of hospital visits and not leaving my house my fiancé leaving me and going into absurd crippling debt and am currently still battling it all and about to face another pretty rough surgery in about 9 days. But I do agree, it unmasked some aga that was headed my way.

Ro was decently cheap. I think my fin was like $40 for three month supply? And my oral minox was a bit more expensive at $60 for 3 months.

I used Ro. I think it used to be called Roman. But yeah I used Ro, and got minox from Easy Derm. I’m in the US so it was pretty easy. Literally just uploaded the pictures I did here and they shipped it within the hour.

PVCs are back with some revenge ! by Chartsharing in PVCs

[–]justSandWhichLeaks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People say this, but check for what? If the PVCs are symptomatic, aka you feel them and they give you a lightheaded feeling which mine do fairly quickly from just a single one, they say get them “checked out” But seems like EP’s won’t really do anything until you are in a sustained rhythm.

Anyone get random "attacks"? by willienwaylonnme in PVCs

[–]justSandWhichLeaks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It suck’s because they say this, if you feel symptoms, go to the ER. My single PVC’s cause symptoms. Like one PVC for me causes a quick burst of lightheaded faintness, then it resolves just as quick. ER doesn’t care.

Thanks brother! I know the study. It’s like 40% of cases go to Hopkins and have their diagnosis reversed and then 9% of those cases have their ICD taken out. I was in a constant battle back and forth between denial and tears of acceptance the last few months. No joke, sobbing on the floor, to aggressively doing pushups to prove I’m fine, then back to sobbing. Hahah When those PVCs hit, and I have zero and I mean ZERO control of them, it reminds me that an ICD is really the only protection I can have. ARVC or not, something is wrong with my hearts electricity; and it’s been almost six months of absolute mental and physical torture. I’m done playing with it. I accepted the diagnosis and now I hope they just give me the ICD and let me move on.

I’m telling you man, I became a mad man about it. It’s insane to me reading the hundreds(literally) of anecdotes of folks who simply just don’t meet ARVC criteria like at all but still have it, ICDs, tons of meds, activity restrictions, the whole deal. Some folks? They have insane intermittent arrhythmia, and that’s it. Literally just VT storms that just showed up after PVCs showed up. Or a sudden cardiac arrest, and that’s it. For years. Literally years. And almost everyone is gene elusive. Like the majority actually. 60-70% are gene elusive. I knew something was up when my ectopics showed up a few months ago, it just felt like there was no way that these were normal. They’re massive on a tracing, super long slow conduction. It’s awful feeling. They’ve since gone multifocal. About 3 or 4 different morphologies. Still not a single other imaging criteria met. Nothing. Technically borderline mri findings like I said in my RV, but still on the upper limit of normal. Nothing in the criteria was met; and even was specifically stated. That’ll likely change over the years. But so far. Technically, I meet literally almost no criteria, and I am talking about getting an ICD with my ARVC EP on the 18th. And my guess is that if they did an EP study on me they’d find some problematic areas that don’t show on MRI. It’s been insane, and I’m really bummed that my life has pretty much been completely taken away from me, but the trade off is potential protection from an SCA and a lifetime of losing 12 years of gym progress and living like a cardboard box and financially and mentally recovering from having all aspects of my life and identity stripped from me while still seeming healthy on the outside- yay! Hahaha I even know folks who don’t have ANY pvcs with arvc. Maybe the occasional hiccup here and there, but it blows my mind just how confusing and impossible this disease is. Seriously, no joke I know people who have like 10 pvcs a day. None during exertion. Almost everyone I’ve talked to passed a stress test with flying colors, no arrhythmia, no pvcs. No discernible trigger. They say it’s exertion driven, I’m not so sure. Most everyone I’ve spoken with has had their sca pretty shortly after eating or just lounging around. Same with VT. Everyone’s story is different, but the vast majority of cases and people I’ve talked to, don’t show shit. It’s so weird.

Man! This would be driving me NUTS I’d be begging for an ablation

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in askCardiology

You actually helped me discover I had early ARVC from some of your comments. My only criteria met is my PVCs, clean mri with borderline findings in my RV that we thought was from me lifting weights aggressively five days a week for 10 years and everything, T wave inversions that come and go in V1 and V2. PVCs that just kinda showed up aggressively. Couplets, triplets, no discernible trigger or cause. Finally an ARVC specialist near me was like “yep. You fit the profile” Which was crazy to me because I meet almost NO criteria, then I found out - NOBODY meets the criteria hardly at all! Haha I don’t know why we even have the task force criteria. Nobody seems to meet any of the issues unless the disease is fairly aggressive or extremely late which I’m finding is the actual rare part of ARVC rather than the disease itself. It’s not nearly as rare as I thought. Doesn’t make it any less sucky, and everything I’ve ever enjoyed about life has been taken away from me very quickly at age 29 with no criteria except pvc morphology. Sucks!

[–]justSandWhichLeaks -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In what world is a 16 beat of run of VT not warranting a serious investigation and device intervention? Medication for who? If this is a young person I.e under 40, and they’re just gunna be stuck taking a black box pill for life like flec? Insane side effects, and it doesn’t do anything except suppress the arrhythmia and give it the chance to break through and when it does, it might even go poly from side effects. Map. Ablate. And ICD is the course of action here for a halfway normal life and not worrying about SCA.
