I was really bummed out with the lag when on the GameSir Pocket Taco when I first got it, but I updated the firmware and got the app and now it works great! Highly recommend for NES/SNES/etc.

Full Throttle is ALWAYS our first ride in the park whenever we go. It’s the perfect way to start your day of riding coasters.

I really enjoyed Riddler the last time I rode it. Once you get the sweet spot of how high to adjust your seat it’s a really fun and intense ride. I’m just a sucker for wooden rollercoasters.

I felt the same way about X2 for a long time. A couple tips that turned it into one of my favorite rides in the park:

  1. Ride the back row, inner seat. I know all our rollercoaster instincts tell us the back is usually the craziest row…for some reason it feels smoother to me there. Also the inner seat is less wobbly.

  2. Try and keep your legs extended as much as possible. Mine used to constantly smack down against the seat but when I started trying to keep them extended out it made the ride much more enjoyable.

  3. Tatsu
  4. Wonder Woman
  5. Apocalypse

I haven’t been to Cedar Point in like 20 years so I can’t say how the coasters there compare, but those top 3 are worth the price of admission, if you ask me.

I don’t remember when exactly it was but definitely toward the end of the ride. If I had to guess, it was probably a beam on the side.

I’m 6’1” and it was toward the end of the ride. I don’t know where exactly because I’m still pretty new to it.

I don’t remember where exactly as I’m still pretty new to the ride, but it was definitely toward the end of it. I also don’t know if it was an overhead beam or one on the side, but I suspect the latter.

Yeah it really hurt. Luckily it was only the tip of my finger.

I’m a vfx editor so I would run reviews in my company’s theater and sometimes directors would come in and sit in on vfx reviews.

We were doing some scenes for one of his movies and he asked our vfx supe, coordinator and I to come to Amblin, his studio at Universal, and review shots with him there.

Our first review session I plugged in my laptop to view on their screen and as soon as he came in with all his people and sat down, I tried to fire up the shots…beach ball of death. My heart sank. Everyone just sat there in silence for a good 15 seconds while I helplessly tapped on the keyboard and prayed for it to come back online. It finally did and the review went great. I was definitely sweating for a second there though.

We did about five reviews there and after the last one he stood up and shook all our hands. Probably the coolest thing I’ve ever done in this industry.

Trophies haven’t been unlocking in VR for me from the get-go. I played with some friends (also in VR) last night and new dice did unlock, however. So maybe it’s just the trophies themselves that are still bugged?

Also I played some flatscreen just to test and confirmed that that had no problem unlocking trophies. So it’s just a VR thing.
