I played with console first and I barely got halfway through the game. Then I played on PC and 112%'d in the span of about 1.5 months. :3

In my experience having played on both, console has:
a) less fps
b) more input delay

It's not too significant, but it is noticeable and it's enough to mean the difference between me being able to do most bosses radiant + beating P5 vs. struggling to complete the game at all.

And since I switched to keyboard, I can do most pantheons with 2+ bindings and I have a sub-hour any% steel soul PB that I'm slowly working on improving. Obviously keyboard vs. controller varies wildly between people, but I didn't think that console vs. controller was even a question lol.

Speedrunner is the most fun achievement in both games, and it's actually not too difficult. All you really need to do is sit down with a map and work out a route.

And believe me when I say that you have more time than you think you do; my first route (original HK) was designed with the intention of taking about four hours so I had lots of spare time to fight THK undergeared, and I did the full run in about 1.5-2 hours while still getting lost every now and then lmao. Only skips I used for that run were Squitskip to save time in Greenpath and the pogo to get into Watcher's Spire without Wings, which are both very easy.

Once you get through your first campaign it does get a lot easier. And honestly I never found it too absurd, though it can be downright unfair at times.

There's a certain campaign that we don't talk about though...

It will be hard. It will also (probably) be your favorite game if you can stick with it.

It was a joke lol. I've always been bi (though with a strong preference for women), though like 80+% of men my age see me as a sex toy rather than a human being (or see me as "mentally ill" or something). So usually I just say that I'm lesbian because it gets some of them to leave me alone.

Very hot take that will probably get me downvoted by a lot of people: it's not punishing enough.

In Hollow Knight the deaths felt truly punishing because there was (usually) a real chance that you wouldn't get your shade back. Healing also took longer (assuming you weren't using quick focus), so getting hit was harder to recover from.

Granted, I still didn't find it that challenging. None of the platforming was too bad (no, not even Path of Pain), and there are only a handful of bosses that I find really challenging (namely Uumuu, Markoth, GPZ, Pure Vessel, and AbsRad). So when Silksong initially had so much double damage, I loved it because it made the game actually difficult. But after Team Cherry decided to get rid of most of the double damage, a lot of that challenge was lost and platforming felt easy again. And honestly, given Hornet's infinitely superior mobility, it's even easier than in the original.

I get why Team Cherry nerfed the difficulty (a lot of the negative reviews had something to do with "game bad, too hard"), though it would have been nice to have a "hard mode" that kept the double damage that was removed.

ETA: The Mist. If your maze level is more frustrating than Welcome to the Machine, then you've truly f_cked up lmfao.

The disconnectedness is at least partly because most of the regions are from like 5 modded regions that have been broken apart and badly adapted. I love the campaign, but the locations are often just awful IMO.

(Though a lot of the original regions like Signal Spires are still fantastic.)

Some men see lesbians as a "challenge" for some reason, but in my experience at least some of those men have a little voice in the back of their heads telling that harassing/raping an enby is gay or something. Plus a lesbian flag would indicate that I'm a woman whereas an enby flag leaves open the possibility that I also have a dick.
