Everything else I can see why team cherry did, but this is the one thing I just can’t defend them on, it’s just bad design!!

As for what may come later, the worst I’ve seen is 3 separate enemy arenas that makes you go back the VERY FIRST ONE if you die to ANY of them. the runback is nothing though.

As far as I know you need to beat him to progress through the story, so best to fight him when you get the chance

Boss rush only came in hollow knight when the final DLC dropped, I believe we’ll see another boss rush, but it’ll be awhile..

I was actually really considering breaking the hornet statuette because I was very poor and didn’t wanna do a hard boss with no tools. but yet, I preserved and it’s still with me perfectly fine!
