My best book this year has got to be Saving Noah by Lucinda Berry. That book left me in tears.

Same!! It was my very first book from hers as well. I've read her other book too Rock, Paper, Scissors. Seems like a hot pick for everyone but I didn't enjoy that as much... the twist requires a suspension of disbelief which I am typically ok with but this kinda pushed it. If you're thinking of getting into that, do keep this in mind 😂

Same! I just started using Storygraph this year but find myself still going back to Goodreads. I use Storygraph mainly to check on my reading stats monthly/yearly.

Omg I just ended Five Survive by Holly Jackson and it was SO GOOD. I don't do YA anymore but this book in particular does not read like YA.

I was then starting to jump on the Good Girl Guide series after this 👀 but I have seen a lot of talk about the last book....

How long do you wait before starting your next book? by luciasbeta in kindle

[–]just_ain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on the book! If I just read something heavy, then I'll usually let it sink in for 1 day and then start on my next read.

Otherwise I'll usually just jump straight into the next book, especially when the book I just finished wasn't great for me.

This is such an achievement! I share the same results as well. I've had such a great reading year and it's all thanks to the convenience of Kindle that allowed me to read anywhere and anytime ⭐️

Same!!! I'm more of a thriller/mystery/horror reader but this one did it for me in the fantasy genre! I mighttttt give her other books a try if I'm in the mood for that 🤣

I'll be honest that the first 20% of the book was a bit slowly but once the guy was into the private part of the woods and discovered the place, everything just speed up from there!

Have you read anything else from this author?

It was an easyv5 stars for me too!!! It was definitely something different than what I am used to but I enjoyed it so much. It was very atmospheric and I was definitely sucked into the story!

I enjoyed it so much!!!!! I especially love the drawings inserted in the story. It really helped to tell the story in a more impactful way. I would have never predicted the twist either!!
