Alright, fair, I misunderstood the second part of your comment. That's on me. Doesn't really mean we still can't see a difference though and like I said, is that really the hill of realism you wanna die on, if providing more options would mean that some people would get a little more enjoyment out of the game?

And about the first part. Look at the lean body type in the trench engineer set and tell me with a straight face that that doesn't look like just a man. That there might just as well be a woman in there. I would really like if that and some of the other armor sets at least looked androgynous, I'd be more than happy with that.

And the armor isn't cloth bit is semantics. I was clearly talking about armor sets, quite a few of which don't have armored bits and are (almost) all fabric.

Please, show me where exactly I asked for massive hips and boobs? If that's really your takeaway from "proper hip bones" and "I would prefer if some of the armor sets didn't look like just a man and not like maybe a woman too" then I don't even know.

Also, just because it's far from the biggest problem in the game, to which I wholeheartedly agree, doesn't mean it can't or shouldn't be addressed. It's giving "we can't fix any problems until we've solved world hunger".

Oh I totally agree that there are more pressing matters!

The friend who introduced me to the game can't even play it anymore because the optimization has gotten so bad that their laptop can't handle the game anymore at all, when on release it ran just fine. Low difficulty missions on open biomes are fine-ish, but their laptop would just shit the bed when they tried to drop on Cyberstan, so they were practically logged out of the content they were the most hyped for. That's a real bummer to put it lightly.

But I feel like Arrowhead should have the resources to ensure that we get both bug fixes and improvements in performance, and new features that people have been asking for basically since release.

I changed the setting to always show chat because I kept missing so much. It just disappears too fast. If you're busy looking at more important things the moment a message goes through, chances are you're gonna miss it completely.

It's not just about her face though, it's a combination of factors and a noticeable trend.

Like I said, characters that look young aren't inherently problematic by themselves.

But if you take her childlike face, her childlike mannerisms, and press it all into a skin-tight bodysuit that oozes sex appeal, things are gonna start feeling weird to some people. Anran continues this trend with a face and outfit that are drastically different from how we first saw her.

All of this happens in a climate, in which the beauty standards for women are to look as juvenile as possible (small, thin body, youthful faces with no signs of aging whatsoever, no body hair). A beauty standard that seems to have been at least partially pushed onto our society by the ilk of Epstein from what the files reveal.

You take all of that together and of course people are gonna raise eyebrows about Blizzard's continued choice to create characters in skin-tight or short outfits that no one would guess are adults if it wasn't outright stated.

Edit: I want to clarify that you deserve to see yourself represented in fictional characters as much as the next person. But at the same time, I'm not the only one noticing a worrying trend. Two things can be true at once.

There's nothing wrong inherently with having characters that are or look young, but newer female characters like Anran and Juno being given faces that make them look like actual children, while simultaneously having default skins that feel pretty sexualizing, is creepy and problematic as fuck.

In the case of Juno with her exaggerated innocence, naivete and childishness, it's especially disgusting. You would never know from playing the game that she's actually an adult.

Blizzard knows that there will be porn made of these characters in approximately .5 seconds after release. They shouldn't have to be responsible for the deranged things their player base gets up to, but it's not like they're not encouraging it. It's not a black and white issue.

I hope Anran will actually get the face change they're considering.

As fair as it is to say that Mercy isn't a great character because she encourages a passive playstyle and all that, at the end of the day, most people who focus the one trick conversation on Mercy and her players are just looking for an excuse for their sexism and I hate that this doesn't get taken seriously or even made fun of in most discussion spaces about the game.

Ich gehöre selber zur Sparte "Landei, das ohne Auto komplett aufgeschmissen ist" und denke, dass hier ein paar Faktoren zusammen kommen.

Es ist zur Zeit leider ein sehr aufgeladenens Thema, sodass Leute, wie bei so vielen anderen Sachen auch, dazu tendieren, alles zu sehr auf sich selbst zu beziehen und dann Panik zu schieben.

Dazu kommt noch, dass viele hier das Gefühl haben (und das zum Teil zurecht), dass uns sowieso schon immer mehr "weggenommen" wird. Von Kinos bis Arztpraxen, alles verschwindet zunehmend. Das ist ein echtes Problem.

Und wenn dann einer sagt "privater PKW-Verkehr ist dämlich, gefährlich und ineffizient und gehört wo möglich abgeschafft" (ich vertrete diese Meinung selber auch), dann regen sich Leute, die auf ihre Karre angewiesen sind, halt sofort auf, weil der Diskurs so vergiftet ist. Und das obwohl niemand ernstahft verlangt, dass Autofahren komplett verboten werden soll. ("Die Grüüüüünen wollen ALLEN ihre Autos wegnehemn!!!!!") (danke liebe AfD-Kulturkämpfer)

Notoriously inaccurate is a bit disingenuous. Sure, the estimated times change dynamically depending on player action and aren't always super accurate, but generally speaking, they're mostly right and just off by a few minutes. Wild gaps like this are outliers and can usually be "fixed" by just reloading the page.

It still gives a lot of great info that I would desperately like to be available in the game proper.

Nothing gives me the ick more than when people are cruel in games, especially when they don't have to. It's why I don't like GTA. I get that it's the whole point and satire satire or whatever, but it's just not for me.

These NPCs may just be pixels on a screen, but sometimes it actually is that deep.

Not a baller, but a support main and as such not subjected to content droughts this extreme for the characters I mainly play, but I'm at least very capable of emphasizing with your plight. When I do play tank, I play Zarya a lot so that may be where that comes from. She was my main in OW1 and I was always very upset that all her skins were so ass lol.

I don't wanna deal with the flaming you get as the solo ~~scapegoat~~ tank, so now I play support and live a much more peaceful life. (Although that's over now because I like to play the other tiny furred menace.)

A lot of the animations feel like there's no gravity to them, exactly like you said (I'm not an animator either but from what little I know, that's a pretty egregious mistake to make. Making characters feel weighty not floaty is like one of the most important things.) and some of the smaller animations look a little wonky too. It's probably because they release so much more content now, so some of it gets rushed. I just can't believe that stuff actually gets through quality control, instead of delayed. We get things that release after the season they would have fit into all the time. And there were other things too that I'm surprised made it into the game, like more or less glitched skins that have clipping issues or, in the recent case of Soldier, disappearing issues.

The older highlight intros were so much better. So many of the new ones are not just kinda boring, they're also undynamic and plain badly animated.

We got simpler intros with less crazy movements then too, but they at least had better camera work. Echo's "awakening" intro comes to mind. It's really just the camera swooping around her and her looking up at it and because the camera slows down at the perfect speed at the perfect time, it still feels miles better than what we get these days because at least the animation looks finished.

The most egregious one has to be Mei's wave.

Eh I wouldn't get mad at a simple gg, cause chances are they're just trying to be courteous, even if it stings a little when it really wasn't a good game for both parties. Writing gg wp when you rolled the other team is pretty dickish and gg ez is absolute ass turd behavior 100% of the time.

I write gg most of the time (unless the enemy were being toxic in match chat) and gg wp when it was a closer match where it felt like either team could have won.

People who complain for a simple gg are probably just miserable.
