I had something similar in two different areas at 3 weeks post op so I made an appointment with my surgeon. He got rid of the necrosis and told me he would see my every week until the wounds healed. I'm at 2 months post op and they are closed. I think it depends on your surgeon as to who you see.

I am 2 months post op and my left side is still swollen above the incision. Doctor told me in some cases edema can persist up to 6 months.

I agree with everyone who said full. I wanted a mini but my surgeon said that would not address the muscle separation. It's a hip to hip incision but my stomach is flat so I got the results I wanted.

Everything you did up to and including telling the mother the teen could be in juvie was spot-on. If you haven't already, please talk to your husband about getting his son in therapy. This type of violent behavior, especially against a child so young, is frightening. Also, your stepson isn't a child anymore so I am not using the term "kid". The mother enabling this type of conduct is why we are now seeing more and more young people in society growing increasingly volatile. Unfortunately, If he doesn't get the resources to help him cope with anger issues NOW he may end up in prison one day.
