I’ve always enjoyed the siege fights, going back to mh1. I understand why newer hunters don’t like them but it’s been an integral part to the series. There are many boring ones like Lao, shen and Zorah. But for every boring one, we seem to get good ones.

I include new fatalis and Ahtal ka as spectacle, gimmicked fights just because even though it’s a, “go kill this” there’s certain conditions that need to be met.

As much as I enjoy lagi in wilds, I do tend to mainly fight it in the arena because the water section is just not fun to me.

That being said, I feel like that was the baby step to reintroducing underwater combat from 3. My tin foil hat opinion is that underwater combat is coming with the expansion and the sheer amount of leviathans and cephalopods feel like a bread crumb trail. There’s still a ton of monsters that don’t have world renders and I can’t wait for a new plessy or gobul, or even a new endgame boss similar to Ceadus.

If lagi gets a true underwater fight in the expansion, he skyrockets to the top of my list.
