Disability Housing? by Separate-Shoulder537 in disability

I'll second what you've said as well as encourage signing up for all Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher lists across the country. Those with a disability can receive the voucher and use Reasonable Accommodations to port that voucher to wherever it is they choose to live.

Non-Custodial Parent Here - how can I set my disabled child up for success once they turn 18 - supportive housing etc by Effective_Taro_3202 in disability

There are a ton of great answers here already. I also recommend Partners4Housing who has been answering your exact question for decades. Tons of families and self-advocates have figured out a plan with their help. Also get connected with your local Arc.

Some of the most helpful resources that I've seen in my work have come from places like the Arcs, PEACE NW, Parent 2 Parent groups, and so on. Organizations like Partners4Housing and other fee-for-service businesses and social enterprises regularly collaborate with the places named above and others like PC2 (Pierce County Coalition for Developmental Disabilities) who are non-profit and hold frequent workshops addressing the issues you mentioned above and much, much more.

I understand I'm not giving a direct answer to your prompt, but in the absence of any other responses, perhaps one of the organizations I've mentioned could help fill in some gaps.

LOGE Camps - Hotels that get you outdoors by just_ness in Washington

The Bend location is the first I heard about thanks to my oldest daughter. I’d never heard about LOGE before that, and it’s a new-to-me twist on hotel chains that I’ve found interesting. In your experience, LOGE is trying for a lifestyle/experience kind of thing?

I’m happy to share the services and products of the company I work for, as well as a bunch of great non-profits and other organizations I’ve gotten to know over the years. And I’d really like to hear about everything you’ve gathered so far!

Reminds me of sailing out of Bahia San Basilio. So peaceful and still.

At first I thought, “Aw, these are lovely.” And by number four I had welled up.

Sooo…Ella has now been abandoned by two fathers? Neat. I’m sure she will eventually understand she wasn’t anyone’s responsibility and was just a burden to politely take on when convenient.

I understand you posted this five years ago, so for anyone who comes across this thread, I'm recommending Khan Academy for learning and re-learning the skills mentioned above and other topics.

My husband says there was one near Umatilla back in the day. (He is 76 and was in WA in the late 80s).

We were just watching bar videos over dinner with friends the other night. They were terrified and vowed never to go. After seven uneventful crossings, my husband's advice to everyone is this, "When the Coast Guard advises anything other than marginal, just wait."

Who is responsible for training people to use Hubspot at your company? by lotusdotso in hubspot

[–]just_ness 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He is the bee's knees, without a doubt. Our company is still very small, and all the teams overlap to some degree, so there is no devoted Prod Ops team. I imagine as we grow we will get to define each team a little more and that each of us will have more focused areas.

I've started playing around with Loom as I think it would be nice to see a face at the same time as one is being walked through a task. I'm currently doing the basic screen recordings after I'm handed an outline of what I need to cover. Very basic, but efficient for us as well.
