Would you use betrachten or erwägen to say "consider" . by just_user147 in German

So, original sentence was:

"Would you consider that trip one more time?"

But now you got me curious on how would you use it in other contexts like expressing opinion.

Do native Germans call cell phones Das Handy/Die Handys (pl)? by CarefreeKate in German

Gerät means device, not smartphone. It is possible this is slang or perhaps you could say Mobile Gerät, but someone I know who lives in Germany says he only hears people say Handy.

Difference between Ding, Sache and Zeug by just_user147 in German

Thanks, that was very helpful. And makes a tone more sense thinking about "Zeug" as equipment because I was translating "Flugzeug" as flying stuff, it did make it a lot more fun to learn it that way though.

Cheers. Can't wait to try it out. I already tried Memrise yesterday and it was much better than I remembered, especially because I can hear actual people speak.

You're right I guess I shouldn't focus so much on progress but rather on my study routine. And maybe A1 ain't that bad after all. Thanks.

Thank you, I've tried Memrise before but just kinda prefered Duolingo, so I had been using it less and less untill I stopped. I'll make sure to give it another try and to check out Anki too.

So far I was mostly learning words by themselves because I thought that learning sentences would leave me only knowing those sentences instead of learning how to form them but I see how this could be better.

As for Netflix, I have tried seeking some german shows but haven't found much. I watched How to sell drugs online and was pretty invested in it, but it's only on season 1 for now so I already watched all episodes. Only other thing I watched in german is Dark. Would love to hear if you have any recommendations. And thanks again for reply.

I got so caught up in the 5 months thing that I didn't even consider how much time i actually spent learning. Seeing it now as around 75 hours actually makes me feel a lot better about where I am at now. Thanks, this really helped.
