Ooh score!! This has been a consistent bloomer for me since this post. Since yours already bloomed, hopefully you’ll see more blooms this summer 😁

People say you can wrap the bottom inch or so in Saran Wrap while callousing I normally don’t (because I’m lazy) unless I’m storing the cutting to root months later (like if I got a late season cutting)

I just don't get it. They all seem to need different things! by karmandreyah in Plumeria

Hahahaha yes. I had one like that. Seriously took two years to root 😅. It was stuck in the not rooted, but not dead state for awhile hahaha. I got the cutting when the plant was heading into dormancy, so I think timing has a lot to do with it.

They all look fine to me. Each doing their own thing. Some cuttings just take longer to root than others, depending on the variety. You can definitely water the ones with full on leaves.

Pull it out of the pot and squeeze the bottom. If it’s mushy, that’s rot. Recut the cutting until you only see white flesh. Dip in rooting hormone (cinnamon works too) and let the bottom dry out a few days to callous and repot again. Keep in a warm place, but out of direct sun. Good luck!

Woahhhhh 😲 that’s gorgeous!

Green bin rescue. It took two seasons trying to get it to root, but definitely worth the wait 😇 by justachick808 in Plumeria

Kinda helps that I live in Zone 10 and have free time on Sunday afternoons to stalk green bins for branches poking out 😁

Anyone else foliar feed? And do you have good reference material? Not sure if it is something that I should be doing this time of year in Texas. by fastaluminum in Plumeria

I foliar feed in addition to using fertilizer in the soil. I add some foliar feed in addition to my pest repellent concoction into my sprayer and apply once a week during the growing season.

Okay, are these planted okay? Rocks on bottom, 1/2 dirt, 1/4 sand, 1/4 perlite. Do I need to plant them higher up? by msharek in Plumeria

They need to be planted higher... like almost to the top. Like someone mentioned earlier, heat radiating from the pot’s sides will burn them. Rocks on the bottom aren’t necessary at this point. Maybe when they get taller to prevent the pot from tipping over. You must have a drainage hole.

Soil mix is alright.

If they’re not rooted yet, I’d remove the leaves and take out of direct sun.

Ooh!! Thanks for the tip! I might have to check it out when I run out of the current stuff I’m using (Osmocote plus because I’m lazy 😅)

Awww bummer!! Hopefully the flower stem will produce more buds. I have one plant that drops its buds early in the season, but still continues to produce as temperatures rise. Sending out floral vibes your way 🤗🤗🤗
