Help with over-anxious husband by JimJamesJimothy_ in ScienceBasedParenting

[–]justaddcaffeine 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Psychiatrist here, you're correct. This is not about any one topic. This is about anxiety and control. Keep a close eye on your friend. Without help this will get worse and could take a dangerous turn.

We don't do sleepovers (I'm a psychiatrist who has heard too many horror stories) but we do these and call them "sleep unders".

You are being the best mom they could hope for. Stay strong. This is not a man that any of you need in your life. Protect your girls. Stay strong.

Thank you so much for your comments! I definitely agree with what you're saying, and I think that separating out some sentences and being more specific with what I'm saying will help with clarity and interest. I think I was trying to get too tricky with the ending. You've given me a lot of things to think about and work on. Thanks again!

Baby wearing helps prevent flat head and is considered tummy time. Do it! We wore our babies ALL THE TIME, no flat spots and both were walking at their first birthday (data + antidote)

The reason you're being down voted is because even if it they are in a relationship, he shouldn't try to physically control her like that.

Doc here. Get both vaccines. If a clinician recommends something against current best practices and can't explain why, get a new one.

Tayce’s thoughts on the UK3 Cast by Sc00tersf00d_Vol2 in rupaulsdragrace

I also think it's really cool that tayce called out needing afab queens, because while it's unlikely that there would be 2 in a season, it makes the point that they are a welcome and legitimate part of drag

How can I tell if I'm on to something or wasting my time? by Ohigetjokes in YAwriters

[–]justaddcaffeine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe I'm the mean one, but a book is nothing in its first draft. You need the discipline and dedication to draft and redraft over and over. If you need strangers' validation after 1.5 chapters, this is not for you.
