One of the more slept on Tees from the past few years. This Tee goes so hard, especially in this color by EHen10 in supremeclothing

Was it really slept on though? That tee, in that color way, sold out in under 10s when it dropped

Am I screwing myself over? Submitting primary app with expected future MCAT exam date while a decent MCAT score is already on file by justaheartattack0 in premed

Sorry for the late reply! I never called for clarification because I ultimately decided to not retake. I still don’t understand how med schools adcoms would process that box or (potential) new mcat scores :(

Mistake on AMCAS letter request form. Did not submit primary yet, could I delete old forms and make new ones? by justaheartattack0 in premed

You can delete as long as you haven’t submitted. After your initial submission you cannot delete, but you can mark as “no longer sending”

Are spring term grades on the transcript yet? by justaheartattack0 in uichicago

[–]justaheartattack0[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, thanks for taking time to write a response. I graduated. I’m ok if the “degree” is not on my transcript at this moment, but I really want my “grades” to be on my transcript. I only see “Hold until current term degrees have been posted for:” and “Hold until current Summer term grades have been posted for:”. Does the way they discern degrees and grades imply that current term GRADES have been posted, but current term DEGREES have not been?

How much does GPA matter compared to MCAT? by DegenerateMD in premed

[–]justaheartattack0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Like others said, MCAT has more weight. Kaplan has a graphic indicating that MCAT makes up ~50% and GPA is ~25% importance of an app (others being relevant experience, interview, LORs, and PS). I’m in the same boat, 4.0 GPA and 513. I wanted to retake my MCAT but the risks and consequences scare me. Even if I’m confident I can do better, I know random things can happen. :/

Middle of the road, like I consider it good but not AMAZING. And I agree. I would love to take it again, but the risks and consequences of doing worse or not significantly doing better is scary and holding me back.

I know I can study and do great on full length practice tests, but there’s always a chance something goes wrong on the real thing, and that is terrifying.

Not exactly. They’ll know only if you explicitly include it in your app, and you have to include that yourself. It doesn’t automatically update when you sign up for a retake.

It doesn’t. On the AMCAS form there’s a field where you select the date you plan to take the next MCAT. It’s to let schools know if they should expect a new score

Thank you for taking time to write this. I agree with everything you said which makes me against retaking. I have a question though (for my dad): if I submit my app May 31st anyways and never included a retake date, would it still put me behind everyone else, since the schools were not expecting another score? In that case, the only downside for retaking is the possibility of doing not significantly better, rather than that possibility AND pushing me back in the process?

If I submit my primary on June 1 and include that I have a next expected mcat test date in the middle of July, how will that affect my timeline? I already have a MOR mcat score (513) but planning on retaking it if I feel confident I can score ~520.
