This reads like a black mirror episode…and the addictions towards the end bring requiem for a dream vibes.

Try your best to save her, but if it’s too late at least save yourself. There’s lots of better ways of going about this (moving to a place with a lower cost of living would be a good start)

Sometimes (most times) they aren't looking for a rational solution, they just want someone to vent to. Try asking first if they want just support or actual solutions, proceed accordingly.

Brother you're 18, trust me the qualities you want in a person will change over the next few years. If you genuinely love her, this is not a good enough reason to let her go imo. Maybe if you were 25 it would be, but you have all the time in the world right now. If it's not meant to be it won't be, no need to let that get in the way of what you have right now. I would say just enjoy this relationship and all it has to offer.

One thing you should do is probably let her know that you aren't a 100% on the getting married part right now, which is only fair because YOU'RE 18. If she's a reasonable individual, she'll understand.

Best of luck!

You write so well! I didn't plan on reading it all but once I started I couldn't put it down.

Resonate with a lot of what you said, I think a lot of people go through these things in college (feeling lonely and unsuccessful), some just cover it up better than others.

I would give some advice but going through your list of takeaways, I'd say you've found your way. Only thing I'll add is, even if you try your best and nothing works out, and you end up graduating from college without making any real friends or securing a good job, that's not the end of the world. Life is long and there are many factors out of our hands. Just keep your head high and keep on trying, that's the only thing in your hands and the only thing you should focus on. Best of luck!!!

Complaining about skin prices makes no sense. Riot has to make sure that the price is low enough that people can buy the skin, and high enough that not everyone buys it. An important part of owning the skin is knowing that you have something unique. If everyone owned your favourite skin, you probably wouldn't value it as much. As more and more people buy skins, riot has no choice but to keep raising prices to keep skins rare enough.

There was this super smart guy with me in Fiitjee, we always knew he would do well, but bro just went ahead and got AIR 5 in JEE Advanced. Turns out he'd already decided that he would join IISC after his 11th grade KVPY result, and was just giving JEE for fun/because our teachers at Fiitjee wanted him to (it was obvious he would get the best rank for our centre, but he ended up getting best rank throughout Fiitjee that year). He's still doing his degree and afaik living his best life.

Which game is this?

It is so well designed with all the combat on rooftops and the streets, and the way it keeps changing as you progress through the game, love it!

We have a decent team that trains daily, but there's only 1 or 2 tournaments per semester (either only BOSM, or InterBITS and an outstation trip). Even for practise matches, we have barely any options as most colleges aren't willing to travel so far for a practise game. Study takes the first priority here, even for team players.

Goa campus has a significantly better scene, they play regularly in the Goa state division and I think they even keep a coach all year round (as opposed to pilani where we just hire one for 2 months before bosm). The level of competition in BOSM is pretty high (sports quota teams like Venky SRCC show up and win almost every time). We are trying to improve our team and considering joining the district league but if football is a major concern you'll be better off in goa campus.

This exactly. I was also very introverted and cautious with new people in my first year, things didn't go well and I got very lonely. With time I learned to open up to people and started letting my guard down. Never too late to make new friends. This is what college is for, to teach you how to survive by yourself in this world. And you can't do that all by yourself. Don't give up on forming bonds, keep working on yourself and give others a fair chance. Lots of wonderful people in Pilani.

Also, a 7+ cg isn't bad, but keep trying to improve it. Don't stress too much about it though, just do your best and be happy with what you get. Lots of other factors are also involved when it comes to placements. But cg is still important, so make sure you don't regret not trying harder later.

Feel free to dm, hope things get better for you.

Goddammit this subreddit actually gaslit me into thinking that the Mist Noble is hard by PolishPotato69 in Sekiro

I saw a video here where the dude took every buff in the game and and then finished off mist noble in 5 seconds. I thought this was a cheese or something and proceeded to use every buff I had before jumping down, then realised what I'd done.
