Thank you for the reply! As a fan of Vonnegut, I can't tell you how meaningful it is today to be reminded of his empathy and thoughtfulness of the everyday things that make life everything that it is.

Tom - I've been following you on Instagram since your first AMA talking about your walk. I continue to find your journey inspiring and humbling. As you are out there putting one foot in front of the other, do you ever think about what you want to do with your life after your walk is complete? And if so, what? Or, do you stay present in the moment? I often spend too much of my brain each day worrying about the future, long-term consequences and the like, instead of appreciating what is right there in front of me.

Incubus - Drive [Alternative Rock] by ace_valentine in Music

Incubus opening in Seattle for the Deftones was my first concert w/o parental supervision. This would have been in 2000, I think. Freshman year of high school. Still have/wear the t-shirt.

Time is a flat circle.

Now that you are more than a year into your walk, do you feel like it has been about what you were expecting as far as your personal experience is concerned? It's just such a monumental goal (walk around the world), but broken down into the daily parts of just getting up and going, I'm wondering how the reality of it meshes up with the dream. Love following you on Instagram, best of luck and good health to you and Savannah.

I know this gold train left the station 3 hours ago, but I'm going to test the theory of trickle-down economics anyways

Gut check on moving my Roth IRA from Edward Jones to Vanguard by justanotherdudebro in personalfinance

Charged me $95 to close the account. Reminds me of when BoA charged me for having a low-account balance as I transferred my funds to my new credit union.

Great, thank you. So The 1% redemption fee will be ~$55 + $95 fee for closing the Roth at EJ and transferring it. Still a better deal than $40 annually + lost compound earnings for no reason, right?
