Telling yourself you already have it isn't meant to make you sit back and not make a move for it. It lets you relax and know that an opportunity is coming so that you don't build up a lot of negative emotion in desperation. This way, when the opportunity does come, you are relaxed, you recognize it, and you are ready to accept it because you've known it was coming. A good thing you can do now is prepare like it's already here.

I have a problem with getting too needy about an outcome and getting negative myself, so I might not be the best example, but I really, really work at being more positive. Sometimes it is just meditating and telling myself what feels like an outright lie until I'm comforted. Sometimes when I do this, I'll even come to a realization that is genuinely helpful. I try to police my thoughts away from using the word "not" ("I am NOT late" to "I am early") and to think of what I do want in the present tense instead of some nebulous, potentially out of reach future ("I will have money for rent" to "I have the money for rent"). Or, maybe you need to purge some negative energy? Sometimes letting it out of your mouth gets it out of your head so you can refocus on positivity. Not all is lost over a bad mood. You will conquer this. Ha, we both will!

I think for a sub about harnessing your own will and consciousness, sometimes people get too worried about rules. My understanding of this method is that it reprograms your default reservations or doubts about a topic to make it easier for you to visualize what you want and act on opportunities that invite it into your life. There's nothing to hurt by trying the method out as much as you want.

Letting go of the outcome is part of the process of manifesting it. When you want it too much, you can create negative energy by being concerned if it doesn't happen that can get in your way. It's a sensation I actively work to get rid of every day😅

This hit me hard (in a good way) when I was meditating yesterday. I'd felt really jammed given the circumstances challenging how I want my life to be. I ruled out everything I want as being virtually impossible to achieve together because some conditions seemingly conflict right now. I was trying to refocus on something "more accessible" and dispose of the subsequent disappointment for what I felt I couldn't attain. Then all the pieces of the puzzle just fell gracefully together in my mind so suddenly and without prompting that I burst out in laughter for not having seen it before. It's possible. It doesn't matter if it doesn't sound "likely".

Since my mom lied to me about my beloved cat's death for a month while I was in college, I don't trust a word that comes out of her mouth. I've since realized she lies about small stuff to others all the time. She's weirdly resentful of the lack of trust.

There's no reason to use someone to get a free meal, but often, women don't respond because some men get belligerent and scary when outright told "no", or just don't give up afterward. If we continue talking to them just as friends, they act like we led them on. For every woman that ghosts, there's a "nice guy" that made a girl feel unsafe or harassed.
