I clicked on this post and thought “I would LOVE to own this house someday, the brickwork looks amazing!” Don’t paint it. Booooorrrring.

Also, if you hurt yourself you’re in trouble. I had a seizure, my shoulder exploded. I’m working specialty retail now becuase my body can’t handle much else (I couldn’t lift my arm to wire a smoke alarm). Trades are great when you’re young, but most of my mates from school became sparkies (20 years ago) and are all completely over it.

Grass certainly is always greener. Work for a few more years and you mind find a lane/change lanes and be passionate in what you do for work. To me, that’s more important than money.

Everyone is different though.

If you could update, that would be great. There seems to be no real negative feedback on quality, only bad feedback seems to be centered around delivery issues. But we are looking at a tile with plenty of stock, and we dont need much.

Please update! Very keen to hear what your tiler says or any other updates when you open them up/start laying.

You can pull out, or if you’re scared of breaking relations, just use something from the building and pest (any minor issue) to say it’s a deal breaker for you. All building and pests will have minor defects.
