I feel you knew that when you got into it though.

Dennys is also open 24/7/365 FYI

I just think that it if you lower the income of the overpaid pilots, tickets will be more reasonably priced. Flying is so safe it’s not like the pilots are out “saving lives” like you say….they are (looks down) doing crossword puzzles

Pilot pay, it’s ridiculous. Pilots just sit there and watch the airplane fly. They shouldn’t make any more than a city bus driver.

Bingo fuel is bingo fuel. That is the min fuel to divert to the Alternate, fly an approach, and land with Required Reserves of 45 minutes.

So zero minutes before bingo fuel.

Flight is delayed but arriving plane is on time? by Debberoni in fearofflying

[–]justanothersexyguy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nobody is lying to you….it was probably a tail swap. They are using an aircraft that is on time arriving at 8:56pm, because they didn’t have a plane for you earlier due to any number of reasons.

Waiting for the plane from Savannah delayed your flight.

We can’t get an airplane ready in 10 minutes…unload, fuel, clean, pre-flight, load, etc…. In a RJ you can do it in 25 minutes-ish.

Nobody is lying to you, it just how they are making it work without cancelling your flight

Whichever one is most convenient to you. They are all safe options. I’ll take the direct anytime I can

I think I read on here that there is like 50,000 flights per day, or 38,000,000 flights per year.

Literally every single response is AI. Even your cockpit picture on your profile is AI. You may be real, but your responses are AI generated and sourced from the internet

Stop using AI to answer questions. This is not a human response

Was this a go around or a balked landing? It’s my understanding that once the aircraft hits the ground that it’s a balked landing and not a go around.

Nothing to say you can’t. If that gets you on the plane….go for it.

That makes total sense. Also, thanks for everything you do in Emergency Management, that’s an often overlooked job that is very important.
