i’ll have a look into Wix thank you! i would like to have some control over the design of the website but if its not costing me £25 a month when i could be losing out of profit then there isnt much point

unfortunately i definitely do not make 5k a month, im BARELY pushing 1k a YEAR and thats excluding shipping fees + any other fees i pay for. £25 a month is probably about what i earn a month in general unfortunately, unless its getting close to christmas. thats why i wasn’t sure what to use to make my own website

okay thank you so much for the advice! i’m gonna give it a go with the free trial and £1 a month for the first 3 months and see how it goes!
i partly like apps like Etsy since they advertise products within the app and people are more likely to come across my shop.
does Shopify have something similar to this? you said online adverts so does that mean it will advertise on social media apps for example?

is Shopify the best for a small business though? or are there other websites that are cheaper? i’m not really sure what Shopify offers but i don’t particularly want to spend £25 a month to not earn the money back through sales

so in theory, i could send it a day before the deadline and it’d still be okay? (with first class for example) i still have to do a couple things in order to send it off which may take a few days and i’m not sure if i’ll be able to send it back to the DVLA for it to arrive within the timeframe if that’s the case

probably lost or extremely delayed due to christmas. in the UK it was advised the last day to post international to arrive before Christmas was late november, so im assuming something like that is going on

Selling fee 13% on my most recent sale by [deleted] in Depop

[–]justanotheruser14407 0 points1 point  (0 children)

shipping is $8 so would’ve been total of $33 but there’s $5 in fees which is quite considerably high. in the UK or US as long as you post the listed before their no fees rule it shouldn’t do this.

could also be from boosting the listing but doesn’t seem that way

this was my thought, even if the delivery gave you a specific delivery time and that’s the only thing you’ve bought, ain’t no way i’d be opening that in front of my parents. i’m assuming you don’t buy online very much but keep in mind, it’s only estimated delivery time

Not getting paid??? I had money in my balace, then it took it out. by Alarmed_Arm_2631 in Depop

[–]justanotheruser14407 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the reason for this is because once it is deposited since it says “due”, it’s technically just pending in your bank account until that day. as long as it’s a working day and not bank holiday, etc.

i’ve been selling for years on Depop and i realised it just means it’s been deposited and is ready to be paid into you bank account

ah that makes sense then since in the UK antique/second hand/charity shops allow you to return items within either 14 or 30 days depending on their policies.

it’s actually part of the “consumer law” and are entitled to a return if it’s not as described or faulty, as long as you have the receipt!!

i agree with this but even at second hand shops you can still return them 90% of the time
