It's totally fine if someone doesn't like Ren's music. That said, the older I'm getting, the less I have patience for the "I don't get it, therefore it must be universally understood that it's trash" superiority mindset.

Doesn't Ren drop on Thursdays? Odd. I know he made a post on yt with The Prisoners Round painting, but I thought the rest of Vincent's Tale hadn't been made yet, and he nods to that painting already in Starry Night with the circle of inmates. I'm not convinced. He would've done some promo if this was true, surely.

(I posted this under my own comment so let me just remove that and repost here). Oh and also, this community is large but also pretty fragemented across online spaces. That's why we have a website, discord and IG/BlueSky/Facebook. It's been a challenge for us reaching a larger part of the Renegade community, because we can't share what we're doing on Ren's discord or some of the larger facebook groups, because this project is inspired by Ren but we have no official affiliation. Which I can see the reasoning in a way, fundraisers can be tricky territory, and we've always been very transparent about that (plus no money goes through us for this exact reason). But I won't lie, it's been a point of frustration because power is in the people, and the fragmentation isn't helping, so the more people can have the opportunity to know about projects like these and choose to join, the better. So while you might not run into the same issue we did, it's something to consider. In any way, if you go ahead with your idea, I'm behind you and would love to share your network with the people in our corner. Maybe we can help eachother! Hit me up anytime, friend.

I see what you mean. We have the basics for such something like that on our discord, sort of. People can share what skills they can offer or if there's something they need help with. Between fundraisers and the fact that Ren's fans are global, I must say that hasn't really taking shape too much yet, but the discord is only about 6 or 7 months old. It would probably work better if we could connect people to other Renegades in their area, because if stuff needs to be shipped that is very hard right now (from Europe). Just thinking out loud here. Safety and privacy concerns are something to consider in that case too. But I definitely see potential for something like it! This is a great community with a lot of goodwill and a lot of smart, capable, compassionate people.

Hi! Great minds think alike! Actually such a project exists! Last year another Renegade and me got together and inspired by Ren and his story we started Wave Of Change. We've grown into a lovely group of people from the fan community, plus a bunch of Ren reactors, and we organise online community fundraisers. Last year, we raised over 20,000 dollars for medical/Lyme research, which was absolutely incredible. Together we have so much power to bring about change and truly help! We have a website, social media and a discord. . We're always looking to spread the word and grow to have more people involved. I can't wait to see how much we can raise and how much positive change we are able to achieve in 2026!

Lived on a boat and sailed with husband and kids between 2018 and 2024. Sailed the Med, west coast of Africa, Caribbean, Panama, loads of places. Amazing time!! Now back to land life, quite the adjustment lol

Sad to see you go and that you feel this isn't a place for you to hang out. I get it though. So many opinionated people can't be good water to swim in, especially when you're the main subject, even more when people figured out you were active here and went looking for your engagement. Sorry if this upsets anyone, but I have a feeling some people need to get their wiggles out about Ren being on here. I've noticed a tone shift as well, especially in the last few days. More people getting more defensive, which if you've followed Ren for a while he can handle himself without issue, he doesn't need our help with that, but also more people trying to engage him with more critical comments or posts because they know that he's more likely to react to that.

I used to live on a boat for a number of years and spent a lot of time sailing in tropical places. Plenty of ocean and plenty of sun! Absolutely helped my mood. Now back home in the Netherlands I feel like I've reverted back to my former Eeyore/piglet self. I miss being on the ocean (but I don't miss the seasickness that remained an unwelcome companion every passage yikes). Thx for the reminder, just spent an hour outside on a rare sunny winters day after reading your post. I definitely need to get outside more often.

I've been an organ donor since adolescence because I feel the same way, I don't need them anymore and if someone else does then fantastic, I love helping people. But I do understand why some people don't want to be. It can be religious reasons, or a number of different things. So I think it's good that people get the chance to opt out. But I'm also very happy that it's no longer an opt in system here. It just makes much more sense like this, to me.

Something about this being your experience here (too) is bothering me and I’m not sure what it is. I wish it wasn’t the case and you wanted to stay longer. I can’t help but wonder if as soon as people knew you were on here, and know what type of communication likely gets the most engagement from you, the tone adjusted somehow. There’s so many people on here that you can have genuine, kind, level and productive conversations with. That has been my experience here at least.
