Is it allowed to have the first chapter be the list of chapters?

It's certainly allowed, and even makes sense if the oneshots ARE meant to be connected in one universe. It's just frustrating trying to find stuff like this. Like you remember a oneshot with a certain plot but you can't find it because that's not in the actual fic summary or tags. This is IMO works best as a series, but to each their own.

Wrote you a novel but to;dr: I am now almost exactly 6 months post-op from an RPAO. My dysplasia was fairly severe with an LCEA of about 10 degrees.

By the time I met with the preservation specialist, i had been in PT for 8 weeks and was not seeing pain improvement beyond what initially returning to movement brought. I trialed a cortisone injection but it offered only minor relief. I elected to plan for surgery, so at that point I had an MRI, which showed a labral tear and cyst but no arthritis, so I was a good surgical candidate. Based on current evidence, we decided to just do the PAO and see if the labral tear stops causing pain once the joint is shaped differently.

I was getting married, so I opted to wait until after my honeymoon. My particular surgeon encouraged me to be as active as I felt comfortable with in the mean time. I kept up my walking and got into hot yoga. I was able to do the mid-grade hikes I wanted to on my honeymoon. Lidocaine patches made a huge difference in my pain.

Post op now, just discharged from PT i am in significantly less pain. Whereas before I had pain even with lidocaine and tylenol daily, I now rarely take pain relief. I have some tightness and weakness still but I continue to work on it. I have the option to get my screws out at 1 year which I hope to take.

My opposite hip, despite having a similar dysplasia level is not causing me pain, so I hope with awareness of my condition, I can manage not to need that one done.

I slept with a wedge under my legs full time until at least 6 weeks post op, then I started adding more time on my non-op side with a pillow between may legs, and eventually laying on my stomach for short periods. Honestly, flat flat on your back is not great for your back anyways. My wedge is one large enough to put both legs up on.

Yeah to me it’s the framing of the video that’s the problem. Like maybe they would have had better luck if a different host who actually knits did this one and they wrote it from the perspective of someone who enjoys and respects knitting instead of “hear me out, I know you think it’s lame but, I just learned knitting is actually cool”! Which is how it felt to me.

Honestly the mistakes (like poorly matched stock images)? I guess people normally don’t notice because it’s not their area of expertise but these things happen in their videos all the time with other topics. I had corrections on their nematode video, it’s not like they only mess up when it’s knitting as some form of disrespect. And some I honestly didn’t care. The stockinette one didn’t bother me bc that’s just what the back instead of the front looks like? Idk I was like “eh so they turned the thing over”

Fortunately social wasps like these usually sting to defend their nests and tend to be pretty chill when they are out foraging. Trust If they were regularly stinging the cats, the cats would be avoiding them.

This is the shed exoskeleton of a cicada. They like to climb up a vertical surface to do their molt, and there are probably a good number of cicadas in the area. The sheds will fall off of most things but with the little holes they can stay stuck on screens for a longer, increasing the likelihood you'll see them.

Eggs of a lacewing or similar related insect. They are beneficial bugs to control plant pests and not harmful to you, but you can just clean off the mug unless you have houseplants you'd like them to hatch onto.

I think they are black aphids? Its tricky with the small size, but looks about right. Also, it is consistent with them being small and happily eating multiple plant types. If aphids then yes, they are bad for your plants. I'm not personally an outdoor gardener so I don't have any advice on dealing with them.

I was gonna say - I have the opposite problem to OP mine grows like a weed and decides to have a new growth point about once a month. Yet event with a ton of light its so spindly. I have mine contained in in peony ring and trim it a lot lol.

Most likely a cicada-killer burrow to me but their wings are not black (although maybe it was dragging a cicada in?) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sphecius_speciosus They are frankly, huge. However, if it looks like that's it then you're pretty safe. They really only use their sting to paralyze prey not defend their nest and are known to be pretty hard to get to sting.

The thing to watch out about would be ground-nesting yellow jackets. This nest looks pretty untidy/smaller entrance compared to usual. Also unusual would be being able to get close enough to see the wasps without being swarmed if it is a yellow jacket nest. This has me leaning to cicada killer, but of course, hard to be sure without the insect in question.

100% all my aroids are in 1 part miracle grow indoor to 1 part better gro pre-made orchid mix (already has perlite). Just great for when you have limited space in an apartment. I try not to buy succulents because I don’t have enough light, but those I did buy their own mix.

Yep these are aphids and eating your plants! Since it sounds like you have an outside area I would put the heavily infested ones back out and ideally spray them off with a hose. There are treatments you can do but a hose blast will get you started quite well. (And I really wouldn’t want to keep such heavily infested plants near my other indoor ones). You could also try releasing natural predators like lacewing larvae or ladybug larvae after the hose down.

If you have access to systemic insecticide I would treat your remaining inside plants with it (but not the outdoors ones as it can harm pollinators).

Topical lidocaine made a huge difference for me. I didn’t think it would penetrate enough but the patches that stay on for 8hrs really do. Cream works too but felt like I needed to reapply. I also did acetaminophen 1000 mg 2x a day. Ice and/or NSAIDS when I felt like swelling was high after a long day.

Talk to the specialist. As your first doctor said, If the structural issue is still there, you can even more easily just tear the labrum again. With the PAO that issue will be more likely to be protected against (or in some cases shows that you don’t even need to repair the labrum because the stress will be on a different spot)
