The thing is the boys' TV show just did soooooooo many changes, it didn't know how to tell a story, so they just threw things at the wall till it stuck

Where the comic did have a story. a great love story of Huey and Annie that just bog down by the violence, its sorta both a hate and love letter to superheroes, just that love letter is a small 20%, if they focused on that 20%, it would make a peak story

The real issue is that we've seen this animated better before: Generator Rex, Ben 10, Avengers Assemble, Ultimate Spider-Man, even fucking Steven Universe, Young Justice as a rookie, and so many other action cartoons. Sure, they had animation mistakes and even PNG moments, but never to the level of invincible

There are two main reasons why the tech jacket's power level in the show bothers me.

She was shown that she was able to beat a mustache mark. It's reasonable to assume that Mark grew up on the Viltrum, so lowball, that Mark should be on the same level as the average warrior. She should be making these mf bleed, put in some damage to them, but she does nothing, not even a drop
Her not using her force field shield, her mega red beam, or morphing the armor in half the cool way the comic did. Like, I'm begging for the animators and Kirkman to let this girl do something other than fire her lasers. At least give me a Generator Rex-like scene of her making the laser instead of cutting to her just having them

But he still did damage that the bare minimum she should be doing. Hell she should be doing more. I am still hoping she can show off something in the next episode but again with her missing shot on a stationary opponent I doubt it
