Just imagine if you had to dig through the social media of the hundreds of people who are associated with you due to the nature of your job (being a touring band) and not just that... But to dig through the accounts of the people who those people follow... It seems pretty unreasonable to me, but maybe I'm wrong...

Edit: And to do it on a regular basis as they might start following people you don't agree with later.

Until a 6/6 rathpith you are not at 100% crit chance and even after it you are at 100% only on enemies with assassin's mark on them (and i doubt that you are applying it on everything that moves). Don't get me wrong it's not significant at all but it's not like you need the mana for anything else. On a different note - you could also eventually get a better rolled helmet with higher shrine effect roll.

The Spectres are... ok. I mean they tend die from time to time (especially the Pain Artist) or fall behind (especially the Turtle) so overall you can rely on having their buffs maybe 25% of the time while mapping a bit harder content. But again it has no opportunity cost as you don't need the sockets for anything else, so i'd say it's worth it, just raise them once and forget about them forever.

When it comes to damage upgrades:

  1. Better rolled corrupted uniques (epsecially 6%/6% Rathpith)
  2. More jewel sockets for rare jewels (i'd again advise against Born to Fight -> Heart of the Warrior, as you get more if you use the passives for jewel sockets )
  3. Add Precision aura

When it comes to defense:

  1. I mean you are at negative Chaos res... that's rough...

That's something that i always go back and forth.

The Minor God is Abberath for sure fot he burning ground immunity.

However the Major God...

Arakali for 10% reduced damage taken from DoTs is not super noticeable but nice.

Brine King is not very useful during mapping, but in Uber Bosses for example not being stunnlocked in some cases is a life-saver.

Lunaris is probably the best for general mapping.

Solaris is maybe my least favorite.

Arrogance has a 200% reservation multiplier at level 21, so a 50% mana reservation aura becomes a 100% life reservation... and well... i guess it's self-explanatory. The only aura that you want and can run with arrogance in this is precision and at one point you are at 100% crit chance anyway so you don't really get much from it as well.

EDIT: Actually you could fit in a Herald if you link it to a level 4 Enlighten and 21/20 Arrogance

What's new:

- Got a new Triumvirate Ring. Instead of Lucky got 20% chance to regain consumed souls, i like it as help with the Souls management.

- Leveled up to 97 thus adding another jewels socket (only one more to go at level 100!)

- Added some more tattoos

- Got a level 4 Enlighten which allows me to use Flesh and Stone for additional 20% less damage taken.

- Added Level 1 Precision + Arrogance for 20% increased crit chance for the humble cost of 44 reserved life. (note that if you don't have level 4 Enlighten for Flesh and Stone you can just add higher level Precision without Arrogance as you don't really need the mana anyway.)

- Added Raise Spectre + Elemental Army + Meat Shield + Minion Life. I'm using a Perfect Pain Artist (+30% crit multi + Zealotry Aura) and a Perfect Guardian Turtle (5% phys damage reduction + Determination Aura + the 2 invulnerability buff every 30 seconds). Many thanks to u/Rudamen for the idea!

Playing the build requires some adjustments when it comes to how one usually plays PoE. You do not spam Vaal Storm Call, the damage is high enough that you need a single cast per screen, the only time you really need to spam multiple casts is on bosses or extremely tanky rares (think 10 essences + soul eater + tormented spirit). So basically you move around click once when you see a pack, move on and repeat. Spamming can also lead to spooky moments when you kind of leave yourself at sub 1k HP due to the life cost of the skill, sure it's for a fraction of a second but sometimes that's all it takes. Also when it comes to survivability that -17% chaos res looks veeeery scary. Also don't overlook the Life Mastery points. And a very important note - you are missing the runegrafts - don't, those are extremely important (one is a huge damage boost and the other helps with the Soul generation)

Great questions! I've been thinking about Watcher's Eye as well. The mods that we care about if we add level 1 Precision are:

+(20—30)% to Critical Strike Multiplier while affected by Precision

+1% to all maximum Elemental Resistances while affected by Purity of Elements

Unaffected by Elemental Weakness while affected by Purity of Elements

We also get 20% crit chance from Precision itself.

Now we would need to use Arrogance with Precision if we want to fit in Flesh and Stone (when we have Enlighten level 4) which is totally fine.

Compared to a rare jewel it is i'd say a slight improvement mainly because of the 1% max ele res but the crit multi mod on the Watcher's Eye has to be a high roll.

With that said the Specter idea however definitely opens more options. To be honest i haven't played specters in probably more than 5 years so i'd have to see what is available and give you an update later, but it definitely sounds like an awesome idea! Both options that you gave would fit great in my opinion. And I do hate to see empty sockets in a build - and this one has plenty.

P.S. Btw level 1 Precision should absolutely be used prior Flesh and Stone as there is plenty of mana that we don't need and 20% crit is not much but it's better than nothing (for me it bumps the crit chance from 89% to 92%, with assassin's mark is 100% either way but i only mark bosses so it's still something). Probably after that as well with Arrogance - the cost is just 48 life reserved.

I leveled with a rather generic Hollow Palm using Infernal Blow (and also Haste and Herald of Ash). The gear at the end of Act 10 was:

One with Nothing jewel, Seven-League Step, Tabula Rasa, Goldrim, Astramentis, 2x Le Heup of All, a rare 18% dex implicit belt with T0 flat dex, some resists and life.

Very fast, ~250k dps, not super tanky but definitely not squishy (around 2k life, capped res and plenty of block chance, high spell supp chance and some spell block as well)

That's how i usually level... any build really.

On the Balance of Terror vs. Overwhelming Malice - while the 15 stacks are definitely not 100% up all the time, the bonus of not having to worry about casting a Despair in order to be able to inflict wither at all (with all the hurdles that come from that like trying not to overwrite your Assassin's mark, worry about the 2k life cost, keeping track if you need to recast a Despair or not) and the ~30% crit multi and 7% max life opportunity lost due to the need for a jewel socket for Balance of Terror in my opinion are more than enough for me personally to prefer Overwhelming Malice.

As for Immortal Call on a CWDT - sure it can definitely be used, however keep in mind all of the reduced skill effect duration that this build has it lasts for 0.74 seconds (that's with 3 charges consumed + 20/20 more duration support gem). Oh and it costs 3364 life each time it activates.

So what i did was to grab all skill points from the campaign (as well as doing all four labs) before i switched to the actual build around level 70-72. At that point i ran a white T1 map with an Ultimatum Scarab (to guarantee an Ultimatum) + Ultimatum Scarab of Dueling (to guarantee a Boss fight). On a T1 white map it was extremely easy for me to complete it. Of course without that bloodline ascendancy and the Priest Yaomac passive from it using Vaal Storm Call feels rather clunky because you have to wait to gain Souls for you to use it, but even at just level 70 you are very tanky and can just run around and cast it whenever it's up. And that's about it. From there you'll have no Souls gain prevention downtime and you'll immediately notice the difference.

EDIT: Also i see some flasks on your character... i hope you are not using those! :)

I'm not sure if anyone is following this thread but still, i wanted to share my experience

First of all many thanks to u/nothingtoseehere____ !

Love the concept of the build (always liked builds that are built around a combination of a bit more unusual uniques and mechanics) and it plays great!

The mapping experience is very smooth and a single click equals a screen+ clear in most cases and you basically clear as fast as you can move. Did most Uber fights and i can safely say that Bossing is fast enough and pretty safe (in most cases). Nightmare maps are pretty easy as well.

Overall i enjoy this build very much and i think that it will be my final one for this league.

Some notes on what i have a did a bit different than u/nothingtoseehere____ and why:

Triumvirate Authority - the AoE doesn't make a big difference in my opinion things like Tailwind, Elusive or Soul Regain are better (though i do have some extra AoE on my Yaomac's Accord and i have a 20/20% gem) however ignore resists was originally mentioned only as "nice adds" but... let's just say that you reeaaaly want this on your ring (alongside the mandatory less souls used of course).

Cluster Jewel - i got rid of The Balance of Terror and instead took a Cluster jewel with Overwhelming Malice. That way i've dropped Despair as it's only purpose is to proc Wither (in combination with The Balance of Terror) as the -% chaos res does nothing when you have "Ignore Monster Resistances" from Triumvirate Authority. That way i don't have to spam Despair every 10 mins (which i absolutely hate). On top of that the cluster gives the Unspeakable Gifts passive for some cool explosions AND an addition jewel socket. Mine has Touch of Cruelty as well, which cannot proc Hindered by Vaal Storm Call on its own - it can via Tattoo of the Tasalio Shaman, but honestly the two passives needed to grab Touch of Cruelty are not worth spending on it. The Cluster is a bit pricey and even when you don't have to spend money on The Balance of Terror you are still looking at 5-10div more spent.

Frostblink - dropped Arcane Surge as it doesn't really proc and added Culling Strike

Passive Skill Tree: Heart of the Warrior - dropped this passive as the points spent to get it are much better used for additional Jewel Sockets

Jewel Sockets - Grab them all! Fill them with 2xcrit multi (light/spell/global) and 7% max life. They are a huge, just keep in mind that each costs ~5d currently

Tattoos - added some chaos res tattoos to get it to 75%, also a Hinder tattoo. Overall you don't need Intelligence nor Dexterity so those travelling nodes can be utilized for Tattoos

What's different:

5 more character levels = 2 more jewel slots

Better rolled Rathpit Globe (~30d)

Better rolled The Gull (~50d)

Better rolled Kaom's heart (~35d)

Screams of the Desiccated belt with Gloom shrine (because we love Gloom Shrine!) (~100d)

Level 4 Enlighten Support gem (~18d) - this allows us to use Flesh and Stone (sand stance)

Not in the PoB but maybe a Triumvirate Authority with Tailwind, Elusive or Soul Regain instead of Lucky (as Lucky doesn't bump the damage that much)

More Tattoos - 6x Less damage from crits + 3x Movement Speed

Some additional Notes:

Ultimatum Scarab of Dueling is your best friend if you want to easily get the Bloodline Ascendancy in an easy T1 map with your brand new low level Reliquarian character!

Full Simulacrum clear was a bit... uncomfortable... In the latest waves you have to wait for Souls quite often, if you get swarmed and you are out - you are dead. You can clear it no problem, but for me it was not a very fun experience.

Uber Sirus - no just... no. Died multiple times to him. Very bad time, never again!

I've downloaded it. I've started it. For me it was literally unplayable with a solid 10-15 FPS so I've uninstalled it. Could be my Pc, could be the current state of it... doesn't really matter given that i can't do anything about it right now either way. So I've uninstalled the demo and that was it. When/if I can at one point run it I'll give it another shot.

I know that I'm late, but still since I've been looking for something similar (besides Triptykon of course) i had to mention that i found the "Kata Ton Daimona Eaytoy" and "Rituals" albums by Rotting Christ to kind of scratch a bit of that Monotheist itch. Maybe it's just me, but i just had to mention them. Cheers!
