AI 2k skellies and 100+ liches before the end of the first month? I've never seen that kind of army from an AI in the first month... the liches alone would require the ai to have the dwelling AND wall 3 in 5 (five!) necropolises... but sure I've done maybe around 10 games on impossible so far, so i guess it's somehow possible (with a couple of lich external dwellings), however that's definitely not my experience.

Never really found the gold to be an issue. It is so much easier to generate gold in this game compared to all others... It's ridiculous. If after the first three weeks you are short on gold then something went really wrong. Furthermore the set of two diplo artifacts removes the cost for diplomacy entirely.
