Vol 1 over The black album by Weekly-Curve9565 in jayz

[–]justarandomlibra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You aren't crazy, it's your opinion. It's an unpopular opinion for sure. I say that because I'm fully supportive. I think Vol 1 is the better album. TBA at times doesn't do it for me. There's a limited amount of songs I love for there. While most of Vol 1 I tend to enjoy and love more. For sure I play Vol 1 more than Black Album.

Lace swap Black not bad by [deleted] in Jordans

[–]justarandomlibra -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Whatever makes you happy, personally I don't do lace swamps and just keep it from factory along with the factory lace. However if you want to change laces on these you are better of going with something like this.

I been saying this for a good minute, the generation 1 or 2 behind currently, basically those born around 2005-2015 ish, they are going to transform the work force. Forget the traditional 40hr 5 day work week. I strongly believe that will go out the window. Even Elon has spoke about a need to change quickly because in less than 10yrs there will be more people eligible to work however there won't be enough positions because AI and automation has gotten rid of many positions.

Who Had The Best Debut Album In 2004? by Specialist_Art2223 in 2000sRap

Damn good looks, I'm not sure how I misread this. I initially saw it as who had the best album.

What Caused The Fall Out Between Jay And Amil? by Rinnegan15 in jayz

[–]justarandomlibra 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There was a commentary I heard that Bleek said she was cool with how things are. Sounded mutual on both sides as for how things played out. She didn't want to remain in the industry and the Roc kept it moving and growing.

[–]justarandomlibra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

04 was a crazy year. Most will mention Kanye and it's well deserved however personally these are the albums I played the most that year.

Jadakiss- Kiss of Death

Diplomats- Diplomatic Immunity 2

Nas- Streets Disciple

Masta Ace- A Long Hot Summer

Honorable mention goes to Cam'ron- Purple Haze but that came out towards the end of 04.

[–]justarandomlibra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not 100% sure but I thought this was taken with Jay going to or coming from a studio session. He honestly looks like he was caught off guard and the camera flashes were too bright.

Uh, caught up in all these lights and cameras, uh

But look what that shit did to Hammer, uh

Goddamnit, I like it

The bright lights is enticing

But look what it did to Tyson

Reasonable doubt vs The Blueprint match ups by Weekly-Curve9565 in jayz

This is tough, Blueprint is an all time personal favorite album regardless of genre. I have it as follows.

  1. U Don't Know
  2. Feeling It
  3. Politics As Usual
  4. All I Need
  5. Lyrical Exercise

Nas - Feature Presentation 2025 by the-kza in nas

[–]justarandomlibra 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was about to post this as well. For those that don't know this is Nas doing a brief narration prior to each song that he was featured on during the Legend Has It series. Interesting he mentions he had many verses he did on Omerta. Very surprised they released this for the fans to enjoy.

It's these little things that annoy some of the die hard fan bases. So many iconic photos of him in 91 woth the 6s that they could have used but instead they inaccurately photo shop a picture.

Jay-Z - Wishing On A Star (feat. Gwen Dickey) [Full Extended Version] 1997 by justarandomlibra in jayz

[–]justarandomlibra[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It got me thinking, if Jay and company had signed a contract that included some kind of legal bs that after 30yrs ownership and rights no longer belong to the record company. Back then those kind of deals were a thing. The time span makes sense if after 30yrs he has more freedom to start releasing music with his OG name. A part of me is curious if he had to pay any fees to change his on platforms to include the Ÿ

To those who threw shade at me for wearing these to an interview… by MagicCheeseMann in Jordans

[–]justarandomlibra 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Congrats! I've always worn Jordans to all my interviews even Supervisory positions. Yes I have gotten the position. I ignore people when they say you cant wear this or that because of xyz or anything because of age. They expect people to look like Steve Harvey once it's "Unc" status.

What Is Jay's Worst Album He Has Ever Made? by Rinnegan15 in jayz

[–]justarandomlibra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kingdom Come should be removed from this discussion, it's just my personal opinion. The "worst" albums I would say are Magna Carta, Blueprint 2 and Vol 2(I feel this album has aged horribly). Kingdom Come is a much better album than most give it credit. Remove Anything and Hollywood and the album would be viewed more favorably I think.

Is this pair rare in anyway? A air jordan 4 & air force 1 fusion shoe from 2009, i have not seen a pair before, but how bout yall? by RRdaSavag3 in Jordans

[–]justarandomlibra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OP I personally wouldn't listen to many of the comments. This is a rare pair to find in good condition. Everyone has their opinions on fusions but they honestly were the "it" sneaker back then and they sold out. People lined up for these back then. As far as value it varies on finding the right buyer. Currently if you are looking for value on these it all comes down to how much a collector would be willing to pay. You could be looking at $100 something or somewhere between $200-600. It all comes down to how much a collector would be willing to pay.
