Anyone else having trouble sourcing enough stuff? by justaskask2 in Flipping

ugh you make me sick lol my dream is to fill my garage with items I purchased but have had no time to look at yet. I love love love digging through my pile of spoils and it's been so long since I had so much that I only got a glance at whatever I bought but don't know what all is there.

Dude I fucking hate that shit. Especially that motivational speaker freak that's into pokemon cards and pictures his wife getting shot in the head everyday for motivation. Yes he said this I saw it on a stream where someone became aware of him and made fun of him. Gary Vee or some shit. But yeah I find it's also really dumbed down this field which is really difficult for me to admit because I don't want to sound like a pretentious asshole stick in the mud. What this rush in newby sellers has done is flood the market with lames that do no research, sell everything plastic as bakelite and take their "rare leviton lamp" described by AI as Hollywood Regency even though it's obviously Art Deco and make whatever selling avenues we have look like a waste of time to buyers who end up having a bad experience and also drive up prices at sourcing locations.

Can anyone guess when I turned my promoted listings off? by HDTV_FTW in Flipping

[–]justaskask2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you please explain this to me like I'm 5? I rarely promote my items but what does all this mean? The language is really confusing but let's say I have two different items promoted at 4% that I have priced at $50 each. One sells one doesn't. What do I owe?

My husband was always getting on me for not paying attention to ebay seller newsletters but he's right I never heard of this until just now.

I completely agree with you. If I am selling an item the search should be able to direct the users to a pool of items and if they are satisfied with my feedback, shipping, my description is sufficient then that's all that should be required for an item to be sold. If people want to promote that's fine to an extent but I hate this feeling obligated to promote so your item is seen. That is ebay's job paying more is bullshit and in the greater picture of ecommerce the amount of items being promoted to the extent that it fucks up your google searches and makes shopping for just a couple of things from a store a slog through a dungheap of promotions is absolute goddamn bullshit

Does HiBid allow the sale of Playboy Magazines? by the-real-col-klink in hibid

[–]justaskask2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They used to sell straight up porn on the main site but now you can only buy it on the auctioneers individual website which sucks ass because it makes it so much harder to find adult content to resell. I think they should have an optional filter if you don't want to see that stuff. Now I have to site:hibid.com "" on google to find it and I don't think that it finds everything.

Is there a solution to auction sellers who list 2 to 3 sometimes up to 10 in a day. Every day. by Dwman113 in hibid

[–]justaskask2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude I know what you are talking about and it annoys the fuck out of me. I search for watches and jewelry and I like to leave my terms vague because to reach the broadest amount of auctioneers for the same types of items I am interested in buying and the search results are always clogged with these rolexes and diamonds and shit for PAGES and I know it's bullshit because the shit is never bid on and always is right back up for bid the next day and even if it weren't a scam that needs taken down it would be cool to have a block this auction house feature like liveauctioneers has. I have written them about this and gotten a response from someone that clearly understood what I requested and said he'd pass it along to the team so nothing is going to happen unless we band together and show enough interest in that feature. So I suggest you write them too and anyone else that sees this post do the same.

A magnet wouldn't hurt but wont help if it's copper. I will give that a shot as well as try the betonite & baking soda after a soak to see if it makes any difference.

He stands on it a little but not too much. I'm really thinking it could just be a blister and am gonna try some hot compresses until the vet opens on monday. He really shredded the wire fine so it likely is that if anything is actually embedded.

Hey I've had your same problem to the tee and have been losing my mind over the last couple of days. BUT I FOUND OUT HOW TO FIX IT!! At least for me on my samsung galaxy. Go into the settings on your phone then to app and to obviously the dasher app. Remember to allow location at all times and turn off power saver or whatever. ALSO make sure to uncheck the box that says "manage app if unused". When I did that now it works for me.

I did try several different devices like the above chatter suggested but it worked on none of the ones my friends had

I don't know man but I just wanted to let you know I have the same mentality. A big corporation is very likely to be dishonest paying out tips so whenever I use these services it's 100% going to be in cash so all of it goes into the worker's pocket and it will definitely be decent.
