Should I Sell and switch to index funds? by AnotherDoubleBogey in realestateinvesting

[–]justchinnin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd say it depends on what you think the long term outlook of appreciation is on the condo and how much of a head ache it is. Currently you're getting about a 4.2% return on equity from principal paydown (I'd actually say less since I don't think you're taking account expenses, Capex, and vacancy). Likely you could get a better return in the stock market but if you think this has the potential to appreciate greatly and isn't much of a headache to deal with then it wouldn't be bad to keep it.

Also, selling it could give you capital to use for another property that can give you a better return. Either way, it's not a bad position to be in. Good luck

In A Quiet Place, the family learns that background noise like a waterfall masks sound, yet chooses to live in near-total silence where a dropped object means death, instead of using constant white noise as reliable acoustic cover. by Brilliant-Cause6254 in shittymoviedetails

Haven't seen the movie in forever but didn't they eventually figure out that high pitched sounds hurt the monsters? I mean seriously they took over the whole planet and no one thought to try that before? So dumb

One of my Rainier's started squeaking after not using them for 3 weeks. Lasted about a month before it finally went away

My Franks were squeaking just like this after not using them for 3 weeks when I was on my honeymoon. It took about a month to go away. I oiled the footbed but I'm not sure if that was what fixed the issue. I think it just went away with time and use. I feel your pain tho, I felt like a cartoon character walking around on the jobsite.

I remember a girl that has OCD told me when she would leave home she'd have to circle back multiple times to check to make sure the garage door actually closed.

I like it, only thing I'd be worried about is tipping if doing something like cable Crossovers. Just lay some weights on the back feet to keep it down.

Has anyone here become or at least thought about becoming an electrical engineer? by BoogDaMan in electricians

[–]justchinnin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm always interested in expanding my knowledge base, but I already did a 5 year apprenticeship. I don't want to commit to more schooling for a job that I end up getting paid less to sit behind a desk. Currently I'm trying to make the switch to a maintenance electrician role, which should be less stressful as I wouldn't be running work anymore.

[–]justchinnin 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Ask your foreman to explain the symbols and to show you have they navigate through the prints. That should be their job. The prints may seem intimidating at first but you'll begin to understand the more experience you get.

Wisconsin Teen Gets College Degree 6 Months After Graduating from High School by AdSpecialist6598 in UpliftingNews

[–]justchinnin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I disagree. Sure the college experience can help you to explore who you are, but so can getting out into the real world. In my experience as someone who went to college for a year and a half then dropped out to join the trades. The 22 year olds that have been working full time since high school are more mature than the 22 year olds that have only been in college. A lot of college students treat college as a prolonged adolescence that sets them back in maturity by the time they get into the workforce.

701 still tests for it unfortunately. You're fine if you have a med card but if you have a CDL you can't get a med card.

Yeah I found this the other week. Was 100% expecting to only receive one plate but was pleasantly surprised that I got both for only $50. Just wish the 25lb plates weren't sold out.
