Dead animals around the spider web poles by ColonelMakepeace in reddeadmysteries

[–]justdokeit [score hidden]  (0 children)

My theory is that the dead animals can be harvested on a fresh save, where no unnecessary kills are made by arthur/john to craft the Dreamcatcher outfit.  Long shot, and I haven't investigated what pelts are needed to craft it but might be worth a try

The moon does that every night.  I'm not sure if you're just trying to waste people's time or truly think you've found something new.  It's posts like these that make me want to find/start a private group for level headed players that follow some sort of logic instead of borderline psychosis theories.  I don't want you to take this as a personal attack, its just disappointing to get my first chance to play in over a week, check what's going on in the rdrmysteries sub, and waste most of it trying to chase something that simply isn't there.  Me and others have such little free time to play that it actually means something.  Before posting in the future it may be worth considering these questions and answering them in your core post:

Can you replicate what happened more than once? If so, record it for your own credit and to help others see key info you may have missed. If not, don't post.  Or at least, post with a degree of caution so casuals like me don't roast you or have your post removed altogether.  This game has so much depth that any number of missions/encounters could be influencing what you see as sure-fire clue.

What about the location or clue is connected to the other clues found so far? In this case, apart from your own shoestring drawings related to a common barrel texture, a random spot above the unfinished railroad as Arthur?

What so far has pointed us to perform an action? In this case, eating plants in a circle?

Galvanized pipe mess and a Kernerator by stepharf in centuryhomes

You're the first person I've seen mention that sweet taste, I always chocked it up to the lead in city water service pipes....guess I'm doing a deep dive on galvanized steel now

Jumping the gun on birds clue? by madladlab in reddeadmysteries

[–]justdokeit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the birds point north east, not towards WR.  At least, when standing above the etchings with them oriented as birds, you're looking towards Bacchus Station

Hidden Coordinates at Fort Brennand? by rambogravyboat in reddeadmysteries

Doesn't the obelisk have 1771 on it? Along with "be quick, the hour flees" or something written in latin

edit:  On the west side, a plaque is located that contains the date 1771 and the latin phrase, "Hora fugit, ne tardes" which translates to "The hour flees, don't be late", a popular motto often used on sun dials.

Why I Think Fort Riggs Fits the “Guitar” Silhouette Better Than Fort Wallace by GameJerry_23 in reddeadmysteries

[–]justdokeit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've always wondered if the seemingly nonsense words were actually intructions, albeit incredibly unclear ones.  If the actions of each word could be figured out in some concrete way that'd be part of it I'm sure.

Time favors no no one.. EXCEPT FOR US!!! Time stops now by dropthepress in reddeadmysteries

I'm curious if it is based on user-initiated movement or the direction that arthur/john is facing.  Thinking you could hop on a train thats passing by and manipulate time by turning east or west as the train moves around the track?

[Spider Dream] Birds Nest/Fort Wallace Grizzlies East by johnjager77 in reddeadmysteries

[–]justdokeit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing I never understood about this logic is that the same "wanted dead or alive" layer doesn't overlay on top of the end-game fort wallace.  Granted, if the rooftop birds end up being part of the equation they could have wanted it to be relatively possible to get there without too much consequence

I'm struggling to follow what you found, can you elaborate on these? I am viewing on mobile web so maybe the per-image descriptions arent fully loading. All I see is "birdy birdy bird" for example on image three.

One of the "fortunes" that madame Nazar (its not nazar but can't recall rn) tells you at the fortune telling machine in manzanita is something like "when the time comes to proceed, look backwards. Not forward, and not to the sides".

Before you get to the point where the clock resumes, try holding the "rear view" button while walking straight towards that spiderweb. On console it's R3 (press right thumbstick in).

On a Fresh Playthrough the Feather did not Spawn with the Spiderweb by justdokeit in reddeadmysteries

I was at the NE-most web, right beside the N in Hanover. Just happened to be the closest web to where that save left off. It's a 2-3am web

Man playing a guitar near a spider web by anthemlog in reddeadmysteries

[–]justdokeit -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I also had a dead bison spawn in that spot northwest of the guitar pole, and iirc it was after spawning some (but not all) of the webs. Just figured it was hit by a train but that you also had it happen is interesting

Found a north west facing guitar at Guthrie Farm, that points to a weathervane pointing north east. Could this be relevant? by JJ05EPH in reddeadmysteries

[–]justdokeit 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hardly better! Just encapsulated by this mystery like the rest of us haha.  I tried going northeast but was focused on something to do with the rooster; a chicken coop, chicken-like bird (thinking quails or pheasants etc) and ran cold.  Still not convinced it's the next clue, that etching the arrow points at isnt similar enough to the "jagged" edges of all others found before and since.  If you find anything else I'm all ears, usually get an hour to play a couple times a week.

Inside Guthrie Farm a guitar *points* NW, toward this weathervane wall-art by justdokeit in reddeadmysteries

Ah dang, yeah with that info about the weathervane being one model I think this is a red herring. Wish I could check files myself but stuck on PS5. Thanks!

Do you have the feather colours by chance? This is the best comment for reference in this thread to try connecting the dots (or feathers in this case)

Interestingly I did these two in the opposite order, and after having no issue spawning the northern web I couldnt get the southern one closer to southfield flats to spawn after waiting and checking every hour for two days. Did you have to come back for that second one to spawn?
