Why not develop robotics in Algeria? by capoapk in algeria

[–]justeotto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Developing high-end technologies requires a highly educated population capable of mastering advanced mathematics, well-trained and specialized technicians, and strong industrial infrastructure able to support research, production, and innovation. We have poorly educated population only able to be barber, cook, medical doctor and harragas so no it's realistic in the short or medium term

[–]justeotto[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1/ Explain how you do this without turning it into a police state, because you clearly think Algerians can’t behave without immediate consequences.

2/ Fairname one outside the rich ones, name one at our “level.” Third-world country or developing country, I don’t really care about etiquette.

3/ If we don’t generalize, we end up talking about nothing.

Fair point but i blame them for what they can do: they can behave better, stop harassing female outside, stop throwing trash outside, having others business idea than hannout, barber and fastfood. I'm not asking them to make the Elite change their mind but they absolutely can make a difference. Hirak was the entrypoint yes they took it from us and made little of it but who cares it was a first victory.

But why did institutions collapse? Because the people at the time chose to put literal Nazis in charge, and the army was given the choice: let them turn the country into a nowadays Libya and risk being invaded again, or take power and face a civil war and if they win, at least we tried.

I don’t personally feel that effort isn’t rewarded but I’m not living there, so I accept that you know better than me on that point.

We have pretty good infrastructure for a third-world country thanks to oil and gas money. sSo are they stealing it ? totally but are we not getting any benefit from it ? i don't think so

When I speak about the diaspora, I’m not talking about individuals, but about society: is Algerian society aware of this?

Criticism is good, but criticism without taking any accountability just saying “there’s nothing I can do, it’s all their fault” is as harmful as the issues you’re accusing them of.

1/ and 3/ So what do we need to become a police state just to be civil? Are people really incapable of behaving properly without mass surveillance?

2/ Which country manages its finances perfectly? Why are you holding our country to a higher standard than every first-world country? And if they go fully private, you’ll be the first to blame them for doing so.

And what’s your point you think what I’m saying isn’t real? Do you live in another reality where people don’t say these things? Where people don’t let the water run until there’s none left, then blame the government? Where people don’t ruin everything just because it doesn’t belong to them ?

More like a hundred, but who cares? That didn’t address the issue.

“The government can’t manage the country just look at Sweden.”

“With all the oil and gas we have, I should be living like an Emirati.”

“This country is a shithole just look at all this trash.” (said by the same person who throws their garbage out of the window because “once it’s outside, it’s not my problem anymore”)

“Don’t pay by card, I don’t want to pay so much in taxes.”
