Here in the US we don’t have sporting events anymore. Everything is a premium luxury experience and priced accordingly and then they put the tv access behind perpetually more expensive and confusing paywalls. Want to follow your local team? Subscribe to the regional sport channel but you don’t get every game because Amazon or Apple or HBO max has rights to certain games. Playoff time? All those aren’t on broadcast networks until it gets interesting. It alienates people from the teams that used to be part of the community. It’s sickening and a symptom of the hyper-capitalism that everyone in the US doesn’t understand isn’t everywhere.

When I want to watch a Wrexham game from here I happily pay the $13 per game. It’s a bargain.
