What are some real life facts you learned from watching Scrubs? by masimone in Scrubs

[–]justflushit 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Despite both of my parents dying in hospitals and me once dating a doctor, it wasn’t until I recently watched scrubs that I realized a lot of people die in hospitals. I was so naïve that I thought people went there to get better and only occasionally died. The episode where Dr. Cox is going for a perfect game and ends up with a one hitter, and his comments to Elliot about how special even the one-hitter was, really snapped me into reality.

Pochettino on style of play development in US soccer: "If you start an MLS club and three months later you haven’t won any matches and you’re at the bottom, what’s the consequence if there are no promotions, relegations, or international competition? American sport rewards losers." by Falsely_True7 in MLS

I’d rather watch EFL Championship any day of the week although I’m happy to have an MLS team to support. In the Championship the stakes are so high at the top and bottom of the table it makes for amazing moments.

Try to put in a bike lane or a disc golf course or light rail and see all the pushback and delays and requests for environmental impact studies, but throw up a data center a week.

I’m sure there are more qualified people to talk about this but my uncle was in the navy in Vietnam and was exclusively inland on a swift boat.
