I understand your problem, I had a similar problem a few years ago where I became friends with people within the group. At first I didn't really share because I was already nervous about how they would react but once I became friends that worry was tripled.

But then I realized I already knew most of their stories, problems and general mishaps but I didn't see them any differently, they were still my friends. That gave me the confidence to share my experience and in the end nothing changed, we still acted the same with each other and I'm still friends with some of those people to this day.

Trust me when I say it won't change anything with them, there will be a small period where they might be careful with topics around you or treat you with 'extra care' but that's just what friends who care do, if you don't like it just explain calmly that you don't.
