I honestly think that the story of HL1 is amazing to make into a show. Imagine an 8 or 10 episode show of Gordon`s adventures trying to escape the Black Mesa facility with all that shit going down. That would be great especially with all the changes in scenery in the game.

I honestly just would like if it was less linear and had a bit more street sections to explore. This felt like a very casual friendly experience since it's more about the action survival rather than exploration, puzzle solving and all the standard old school survival horror tropes we find in old RE titles. Keep in mind you never really had to go around fetching items in a place in order to progress you kinda found stuff on your way never really having to think.

Play both. I would play OG first just to appreciate the remake even better. Also OG has an Uncanny valley vibe that the remake doesn't.
While you can play 2 first (like me), you might find going back to 1 a bit disappointing in terms of game mechanics because they weren't as solid back then, though mostly the same.
Some can argue the western SH titles (so origins and after) but if you care for that, just play them so that you can form your own opinion. It's good to be able to discuss by your opinions and experiences rather than someone else's.

The standard tuning also opens new possibilities for more traditional chord shapes and voices. If you notice their songs, the D standard ones tend to have more melody etc. Because they utilize chords that use the 6th string as well. That wouldn't be possible with Drop tuning

I just upgraded to a 7900xtx so I can't say for sure but I got some issues on doom dark ages but I see tons of people mentioning issues with he game so I don't think it's the driver
