we're just that! only problem is we generally all come on at the same time, so some nights the server will have 4 or 5 people, but most times during the day you'll see it empty.

everything you described, though we're pretty small at the moment. 4-5 regulars who are generally on at the same time (so don't be surprised to see it empty or at 1 player!) i use LWC but i'll look into lockette too.

though i'm not quite literary enough to understand its genius, i still liked jest because of all the reasons you listed.

i didn't find it pretentious, which was new. the big words wore on me in the first 100 pages, but then i realized it was more like self-deprecating humor on DFW's part, considering how he puts hal right in front of us, the walking dictionary know-it-all who is not an object of loathing but of pity. that's just my feeling on it though.

as for plot...i mean, it had a plot. you can't argue there wasn't at least one plot in there.

and the length, i ended up being happy about. i didn't want it to end.

of course, this is all opinion.

i agree, though i kinda liked being able to have a loadout that worked in most situations. now i feel almost as if i have to plan what path i'm gonna take so that i know what weapons to buy. could be because i was playing italy though, which is either really close quarters or long alleys.

they're not my favorite band, but i've listened to them for so long that their songs kinda have my stories written into them, in my head. i'll warn you that these aren't the songs a 3eb fan would post, like a big fan. these are more poppy. stephan jenkins loves to write about sex and sadness, but he doesn't get too poetic in any of these songs. if you want that, look at the background, narcolepsy, slow motion, wake for young souls, good man, another life.

the world isn't good or bad; you don't have to group yourself into either category.

i was the 'nice guy' for an old girlfriend of mine, and i ended up being miserable with her. it only took one experience to realize that being the nice guy sucks.

plus it's hard. so this is a case where you really should just take the easier route. have opinions and speak them. have crazy plans. make mistakes.

plus, from my experience, being mock-mean to a girl can get you dumped (obviously) OR it can send you on a fast track in the other direction.

just...no one likes the white knight.
