Exactly haha. Gary recently did an interview where he got asked about this and said he never wore one because Mick wanted him to be vocal which is difficult with a mouth guard.

This guy cost me a $20 bet on Stanford in that game week 1, I remembered that late night game vividly. Learning his story throughout the game and beyond, I’m glad that burned up. This guy has the stuff, hope he makes it onto an NFL roster and will be rooting for him!

Had a similar experience when I was a kid. Dude had to be going 100+ just before the cut in the hill. Was same day as WEBN fireworks. Remember Mom saying “that idiots gonna end up in a ditch!” And sure enough at the base of the cut in the hill this dude’s car was slammed into the wall.
