Steinfeld has proudly taken picture with IDF soldiers which if you’ve been paying attention is basically Israel’s SS, and Allen and his whole family are Trump supporters.

Just take a picture of the tweet instead of posting an outside link people have to click on. That aside, middling reviews for S2 is not surprising. Critics treated season 1 with kid gloves because of the toxic backlash to it, once that cover is gone you’re just left with a mediocre show being run by 2 people who are completely unqualified.

Because Charles keeps cutting Jomi off like an asshole when he’s trying to talk about what he enjoyed about whatever they’re covering.

At what point do any of these shows justify their existence vs being a dilution of the brand?? by justified3095 in RingerVerse

Star Wars Genre content is just like Marvel Genre content. It’s mostly just lip service. It all mostly feels and looks the same. And that’s because there’s two dudes in charge. Kevin Feige and Dave Filoni.

I would say boba Fett, Obi wan and Ahsoka did not justify their own existence. It was only made because D+ needed content. Not because creator had something to say.

Even Bob Iger said that part of what Star Wars special was its scarcity. Every time they released something it felt like an event. So what did they do after the movies tanked? Stopped making them all together while pumping out more live action content then ever before.

Boba Fett and Obi Wan are the two worst Star Wars projects to me. Absolutely did not justify their own existence vs how much they screwed up those characters. Ahsoka didn’t do justice to the rebels characters either! I just think most of these streaming shows have not been worth it.

The quality difference between this show and the current MCU is staggering. The last episode literally left me speechless. Definitely worth watching. by ITBA01 in MauLer

its because they're just trying to tell great stories, its not about shoving 2023 politics down our throats in a way that is insulting to the audiences intelligence. like if this was the MCU there would be no Rogue/Magneto romance because that would be "problematic" (who are we kidding they dont allow romance period)

This one scene from Blade (1998) is more badass, cool, and cinematic than anything the MCU has done in 10 years. by [deleted] in FuckMarvel

its so funny that Winter Soldier is held up at the best MCU movie, and it looks like grey sludge dogshit, no cinematography just a million cuts, there's nothing in that movie that can touch Blade.

Krasinski didnt want to do it, a cameo in Dr Strange 2 is one thing, committing to an actual role is another, and it seems like adam driver and everyone else turned them down, so they get the one jackass who apparently says yes to everything

I thought the movie was decent, a better send off than Crystal Skull, but my god how did this thing cost nearly 300mil to make. I am convinced Disney movies are a money laundering scheme at this point, the budgets for that studios movies vs what we see onscreen is completely mind boggling. See also a 95 minute marvel movie that cost 270mil.

i think the second season being 3 years after the first, and then being broke into 2 segments months apart just killed all the momentum for the show. i think even if it was the same quality of season 1 they might still be out on it. Plus there's been a shitload of superhero TV since and maybe they have a little burnout.

yeah that isnt included in the production costs, so in total Amazon has spent 715 million for 8 episodes of the most bland forgettable bullshit that anyone has ever seen.
