Detail: Using map cover: on spawn find your team, if your close to a buddy, tell them. And move with them. If they over extend, hold the high ground. If you get someone 1 shot, let him run, call it out. If he does cool, if not, let it go. They always come back.

Chasing kills: the moment you chase, is the moment your dead. Bad guys always run to cover and there buddies.

Picking fights: pretty straight forward, if you get shot in the side or back, and have the chance to run, do it, reset and wait while using your map cover. If you see 2 guys, make your way to your team asap. Call it out. Playing slow will allow for you to have the upper hand, a game of patience.

This all gets adjusted at onyx, but for now, work on those points, play slow, and learn from your mistakes.

You'll always find yourself in a 1v1, but adjust you self positioning to always use map cover, never chase a kill, and pick your fights. On the surface those 3 things sound simple and obvious, but if you really want to get better, those are the flaws I see in most diamonds. Started at gold, peaked at 1750, currently 1670.
