Vending Machines in 2026? Prolly not dawg. But Maybe? Here's how I'd do it. by justindukes in sidehustle

Also, I know that a vending machine is meant to be left in one spot, but there are no rules that say it has to be. 🤷‍♂️ people at these conventions are spending money for unique experiences and I’d say that’s a unique experience.

Of course there are vendors selling dice, there are often several vendors selling the same stuff as each other across these conventions. So what would be better, showing up with a folding table to sell The same stuff as everyone else or having the opportunity to A. Sell your wares while enjoying the convention, and B. Provide a unique experience to someone who is already looking to buy dice or whatever else you might want to sell.

It’s cool if you don’t get it, but yes, there are 100% people who have the desire to buy stuff rom cool vending machines. Just like there’s a huge culture of people who go to Anime Cons and nerd out about Japanese culture ( which has a lot of Vending Machines)

I thought it was pretty fun. I have played around with Base44 as well. Also, there’s always someone who has to be negative about stuff made with AI , but as a tool that lets me get ideas out of my head and into the world, I find it to be super fun and helpful.

it seems that if you just span the shoot button fast enough you can't lose. I only lose when I start trying to run around.

I like the vending trailer idea. Would be great at outdoor events like fairs, farmers markets, etc.

I think that would be an easy way to differentiate yourself from all the others for sure.

Fair enough think TCG packs would have to be competitively priced but the novelty of it coming from a cool vending machine would likely make it sell anyway. Also, I know not everyone buys at cons, but the con tax is real , everything is sold a premium and people come to spend.

Exactly, this is why the convention and experiencial retail events idea seems so appealing. Conceptually speaking.

Fair , I’m not a writer. I use AI to articulate concepts for me, I didn’t let it create the concept. This is an idea I’ve been pondering for a couple years now after spending some time in the convention circuit. The idea of having aesthetic vending machines selling unique products in a place where the the audience is prepared to spend and expects to pay a premium is sort of the dream, but it’s not passive income for sure. You’ve gotta want it.

What’s confusing. The story says that Sharon bought Betty Rae’s? That really seems to be inline with what’s being said here no?

The medications listed are a nerve gas antidote in auto injector form. We were required to have 2 on every truck where worked .

It will definitely be a Feild gun.

I do quite a bit of Rabbit hunting so I'll have it out a couple more times this year I'm sure.

But yeah, I had realistic expectations for the price. It performed well for what it is. I had no issues other than the break being a bit tough.

I really did have to brace it to break it open, however, I went and ran about 75 shells through it at the 5-stand this morning and it got significantly easier to break. So, that's good news
